I'll be the first to whine. ;)

Home projects are getting in the way - no trips for us this summer.:(

It seems its either one or the other
A friend is planning on staying home this summer but she's planning home improvement projects.
We're taking a few mini-vacas this summer with our big trip this Oct. No home improvement projects here however.

Hopefully you can stay busy with day trips. Where would you like to go for a day?

No vacation at all this year :(. We are buying a house in a very expensive market and had to empty most of the bank account. It's worth it though!

We'll be home this Summer too . . .our trip isn't until October because DH is in the middle of tiling the kitchen floor and counters so that depleted my Summer vacation account . . .

No vacation for us this year either. :(

We're not going anywhere this summer either. :(

....but we do have a holiday to Spain booked up at the end of September! :sunny:

Nope, no vacation this year or probably ever again. Medical problems for my son. Your world shrinks when you are tethered to an oxygen machine. So glad we got to go to WDW so many times when he could. Some years it was tight financially, but oh so worth it.
At least I get to enjoy the trip reports from others!

Other than a three-night trip to Wildwood and a day a Knoebels, I have no vacation plans for the summer. :( I also want to get in a day at Hesheypark, if I can come up with the money. We're still trying to catch up with bill payments from DH's period of unemployment and now $3-4 pay-cut.:( I'm still dreaming of WDW::yes:: ,but it's a long way from becoming a reality.

Just a couple days in Canada for us. Home improvement projects on our agenda, too.

Lisa

No summer vacation for us. I'm due August 17, so we'll need to stay close to home, especially since Jacob was a preemie. We're thinking about maybe getting in a quick weekend at the beach before school gets out. I'm thinking about asking my family if they want to join us in WDW the first week of January. I'm just not sure I really want to see that much of them. :teeth:

Just got my first job in over a year, I'm going NOWHERE!! Did enjoy my time off, though, we went to Orlando 5 times!!

I just had my vacation and my kids were in school. I do have a weekend trip scheduled in the fall and plan to have tons of fun packed in those days.

We're not going anywhere this summer either. Older DS is in college and that is where all our money goes! We will take a couple of day trips to local amusement parks and museums.

we're taking five day camping trip. I think that counts as a
vacation! (she says hopefully)

I want to get away for a few days at least, but as I am on the active transplant list, I don't want to go too far. And because I can't get away, I want to all the more. I keep going to the Universal site and looking at the deals. Silly really. Even if I could get away I would not have the energy to do a theme park.

Do I win the prize for the biggest whiner?

I should not be whining at all. I am thrilled to be on the list. And thrilled that I have enough remaining energy to make each day a good one.

I just moved a couple weeks ago, so I'm not going anywhere. :teeth:

no summer vacation here, but can't complain was in Orlando for 3 weeks endo of dec first of Jan.:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Not me. Probably not going to be able to take a trip ANYWHERE for the next year. Court costs are killing me right now.
