Over the past few years our family rarely eats at fast food places. I realize that this is not the norm. So where are my peeps that also would prefer to eat at home over fast food???

I would prefer to eat at a nice restaurant over fast food. We probably go through a drive through once every couple months, due to a very hectic day where there is no time for a sitdown meal at home or away.

I don't know many people anymore who do eat fast food often any more.

The thought of eating fast food literally makes me ill. Even once in awhile it is horrible for you.

I haven't eaten fast food (except for a coffee on a road trip) in years.

We make an effort to not eat fast food. If we are stopping for a quick bite, we try to hit Panara, or subway where we can purchase something that at least seems a little more healthy.

There are days though, where things are just too crazy to have the time. We do try to buy the more healthy options at fast food stops. We maybe go get fast food every couple of weeks.

Is it as good as home-cooked, and do I prefer home-cooked. Well duh, of course I do, but it just isn't realistic at times.

I stopped eating at fast food restaurants years ago. However, there are still some really good "fast food" places I love to eat at... Panera Bread is one of my absolute favorites!

We went for a couple of yrs almost cutting it back to zero. It was wonderful.

Now however things are a little crazy and we went back in the ditch so to speak.;)

I did go shopping yesterday and purchased a lot of fruit/veggies and am going to be attempting to plan more healthy meals. DH and I are doing a lifestyle change. I have lost 4lbs and he has lost 15.

As far as Panera or as it is known in St. Louis as "St. Louis Bread Company" (original name), we do eat there frequently however it is SOOOO expensive and calorie laden so I do have to watch it.

I love the greek salad.

I sometimes crave a quarter pounder and fries. We also pick up the occasional pizza. Other than that, I tend to not eat fast food. It helps to live out in the boonies where we have to drive 20 miles before we hit a drive-thru window.

I consider fast food Burger King, McDonalds, places like that. I haven't eaten any of that since college-the first time-which was *cough cough*about 20 years ago. The ick factor is too high.

We have a place here called Great Harvest Bread Co, and the sandwiches are fantastic! I will grab something there but I really try to keep something at home we can make on the quick.

I personally don't consider places like great harvest, panera, or subway fast food.

I will only occasionally go through the drive threw with the kids. I think there are better options for a quick bite than traditional fast food. Like last night I had to be at work at 430 and didn't get off until 10:45 and was starving, no break for me, so I went to Kroger and picked up a sandwich from the deli.

I grew up in a small village in England where there was no such thing as fast food - so I never really learnt to love it as a kid. The first McDonalds went up about 45 minutes away, we went once for someone's birthday and I think that was about it.

I very, very rarely eat it - my one weakness is the McDonalds sausage and egg McMuffin. Whenever we fly out of Orlando, we always seem to leave early and I always end up getting one of those from the McDonalds!

DH is an addict though - he stops at McDonalds or Chick-fil-A at least once a week.

I don't touch fast food, apart from pizza.

I will say I crave an In-N-Out burger from time to time, but being in the midwest I don't have to worry about going out and getting one.

We don't eat fast food, not at home, nor at Disney. When we are on vacation, we eat at least 1TS meal per day, and then we usually eat breakfast in our Villa, and sometimes even dinner as well. The only time we eat out, is on vacation.

No need to eat fast food for us - it's costly, full of junk, and tastes horrid. We make our own homeade burgers and fries/potato chips at home, and they are good!

Tiger :)

We are soooo done with Fast Food. It's expensive and horrible food. We've lost weight since we quit eating it and just generally feel better with more energy. It's not like we were eating it every day, maybe once a week but still eliminating it made a difference.

We ended up getting a pizza from Little Caesar's when we were on vacation last week and it was the weirdest thing, we were hungry within 2 hours even though it had a stupid amount of calories compared to what we make at home now.

I used to live on fast food until I really looked at what I was eating and stopped. I feel so much better for it and have more money.

I will ocassionally stop at Wendy's or Five Guys Burgers and Fries as they are my weaknesses but I make it a treat not an everyday occurance. I do however go to places like Panera, since their options are much healthier and I do not consider them "fast food"

I had a Quarter Pounder with Cheese yesterday, but honestly I almost never eat fast food. I think the last time I had a Quarter Pounder was probably a year or so ago.

I eat fast food at least once a week, but I always get a salad and an unsweetened iced tea. I don't remember the last time I got a burger and fries from a fast food restaurant.

My kids eat it a few times a year, and I eat it once every couple of years. Yuck! I generally don't like chain restaurants, and fast food is the bottom of the food chain for me.
