anyone else make their own laundry detergent?

so when you use vinegar in the downy ball do you just put in vinegar, or do you water it down? Thanks!

I just bought a DB and will be trying it with full strenght
vinegar because that is what I add to my final rinse is pure
vineger, so I would think it would be the same.

I have also been making my own landry soap and love it.
The clothes smell very clean and fresh.
We have allergies and before I made my own soap I
had to buy the Free & Clear detergants but
no one is having any problems with my homemade soap.:thumbsup2
The only landry bar soap that I can find is ZOTE from Walmart so the
last time I went there I bought 4 extra bars.
I want to stock pile just in case they discontinue carrying them.
I also might try glycerin soap from the health food store and
see how that works.

I've also been using Vineger in my Dishwasher rinse compartment--
My dishes are spotless and everything smells very clean--I'm thrilled.

I just read through this thread and I am amazed that at my ripe old age I never knew how easy it was to make laundry soap. I have a question though. Those of you using vinegar as a fabric softener, add it to the washer on the final cycle or in the dispenser for fabric softener, correct? And it is 1/2 cup per load, correct? Thanks!!
