It is so nice to be able to look up availability and make reservations online! Thank you DVC! I have to admit, I had my reservations ;) on how well it was going to work but so far it seems like things are going pretty smoothly, at least for me. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes, I also enjoyed the process. It was pretty easy and painless. I've been wanting this option for years, so glad to finally see it! :thumbsup2

I found the process intuitive and painless. I love  on-line booking. It makes it easy to see what is and what is not available.

I am loving it! We are still hashing out the dates we are going so its nice to be able to quickly go in & make changes without having to try to explain to someone else what you are trying to do :)

I'm a big fan so far. Was able to snag AKV Club Level for next January very quickly and painlessly. Hopefully they'll add additional options in the future, like the ability to add/remove guests after the original reservation was made. But so far, I love it!

I love it as well! Its very easy and straight forward...luckily I haven't had to do anything too complicated yet. Would love to see more features in the future, like adding days onto an existing reservation, but so far so good! :yay:

I haven't used the online system to book ay trips yet but I did use the online system to add ME to our March trip. It wouldn't let me add it for my sister and niece for their trip from WDW back to MCO without also adding it for MCO to WDW (when they don't actually need it.) I got an email saying that MS got my request so now I wait to see if I get a confirmation or something.

edit: Confirmation email came this morning. Now I wait to see if DME has actually been added correctly to my reservation.

The process is nice and I like doing things for myself....so booking online is for me is easier and such a convience....

I especially love it being from the west coast. There are some days when DBF and I don't have time to figure out schedule changes until the afternoon! I was able to cancel and create a new reservation on my time. So great. :goodvibes

I am also from S. California and this is why I like it so much. I was always forgetting to call or too busy to call and by the time I remembered, it was after 2:30 PM.

I love that I can check availability for a wide range of searches in minutes. Definitely much easier than explaining it to someone else.

Yep, another vote for the time zone issue helping. If we're tossing around the idea of a trip I can get online at any hour to see if a potential date change might work instead of either having to get up extra early or call from my job.

I love it! I booked a 6-day 1-BR at GCV and set up a Wait list for a Studio for a week with instructions to replace the 1-BR. No problem. The wait list came through a couple days later and replaced the 1-BR. But I was wondering - If I wanted to change the reservation and drop the first 2 days, is there any way to make changes to an existing reservation online? It looks like you have to delete the whole thing and start over, which is risky, since I might not be able to get the remaining 5 days I want. And all the days are within the 7-month window.

You have to call MS do drop days and avoid cancelling the whole ressie.

Glad the new system is working well for people! If I want to switch resorts at the 7 month mark, can I do that online or do I still have to call MS?

For me, I think it would depend of 2 things:

1) Do you have enough left-over points to book the new ressie before you cancel the old one and
2) Is there lots of availability.

If you don't have enough points to make a whole new reservation, you will have to cancel your current one first and then rebook. If there is a low availability, you run the risk of the new room being gone when you go to rebook.

Might be safer to call.
