Was just there 1/23 - 1/27 - the only crowds I saw were on Friday at the Animal Kingdom for the Everest Preview. the weather was great, could walk on most every ride - Going to plan to take the family there next year the same week.

AK was crowded yesterday but mostly in Asia, because of EE. When we checked in (All Stars Music) though the desk clerk told us that the hotels were packed. 800 people checked in on Friday. When we went to go to AK in the morning the line for the bus ws huge, it snaked all the way back into the building. The lines for the other parks were all quite small though.

We just got back from a short 3 day weekend. The crowds at MK on Thursday were very low - we walked on to most rides with less than a 15 minutes wait. Only BTMR (20 minutes) and Jungle Cruise (30 min) were longer. We did not do Space Mountain. We went to AK on Friday and it was not crowded and again did not wait for any ride other than Dinosaur where we used a FP. Epcot was more crowded on Sat from EE but still fairly low. There was a 40 minute wait for Mission: Space and they were not using FPs. Soarin had a 40-70 minute wait while we were there but we used a FP.

The only time I could say it was really crowded was last Saturday at AK. That was due to its being a Saturday EE preview. I was also at EE preview on Thursday, but the crowd was fine. Safari wait was about 20-30 minutes on Thursday, but Saturday was mobbed, Asia in particular. It was hard to negotiate crowds around either entrace to Asia as well as much of Dinoland. However, Dino the ride was only about a 20 minute even then.

Otherwise, the parks did seem a little crowded until you looked at wait times. Yes Soarin was 70 minutes, but Mission Space was 20 minutes, or 5 minutes for singles. Thunder Mtn on Friday was 90 minutes until they opened both tracks, then it dropped to 40. But Splash Mtn was down, so that definitely factored in. Space Mtn was never more than 30 min. Most wait times I saw were more in the 20-30 minute range except for notoriously slow loaders (Peter Pan and such).

We were there from the 26th to the 29th and thought the crowds were very low. We didn't wait more than 30 minutes for anything. The only long line we saw was at Epcot on Saturday for Soarin...about 90 minutes...but we fastpassed it and only waited about 15 minutes. Even AK wasn't crowded when we were there on Friday morning.

I have to say, I was dreading this weekend a bit after I heard that they were estimating Easter level crowds due to the EE preview, but once we got there it was a pleasant surprise.

I think a lot of people have a different view of what's "crowded", when people keep claiming they walked on rides, some people might think that means no wait at all while other mean just a shorter wait than usual

Friday and Saturday were crowded. Saturday had EMH at MGM and Spectro at MK, so that was to be expected. Friday had EMH at Epcot, and it was quite crowded. Canada was all booked up for lunch and dinner, but Canada is yummy. All the other days last week were empty, including yesterday. I'm just back, and we had a nice time with and without the crowds. My resort, POFQ, was not at all crowded.

I'm basing this on past trips in Feb., Oct., Aug., Dec., etc.

You are right. We are almost ready to leave for our FIRST trip. I have been reading comments like "we walked on" this or that. I was taking that fairly literally. Glad I read your post.

We too just got back from 5 days there last week. I haven't been to the parks in 5 years so I have nothing to judge but.....Monday we did Epcot, nothing longer than a 30 minute wait and that was for Soarin' - should have gotten the fastpass. Tuesday we did MK and there was no wait ever. Th went back to MK to hit SpectroMagic and I did notice the crowd increase a lot. Had longer lines for everthing. Up to 50 minutes for Peter Pan. Friday did MGM. Then Saturday did AK and hello- where did all these people come from. The lines weren't terrible but we did Fast Pass everything we could. Does that park always seem crowded. And I'll give a big holler for the beautiful weather we had for the first few days. Just glorious for this Midwesterner.

we just got back from a long weekend and we thought it was great....we really didnt wait long for anything...i thik the longest we waited was 20 minutes and that was for turtle talk with crush...great weather...we did see the groups with the flags and there was alot of them..

We also just got back from a long weekend. We got to WDW on the 26th till today. We went to MK on Friday, walked onto every ride. Longest wait was Dumbo at 15 min. Sat we went to Epcot, also walked onto everyride. Did FP for Soarin'. But at 2:00 when we left the standby line was only 30 min. We eat at Canada. Yummy. MK on Sat night for Spectro and Wishes. Only did Frontier Land but walked onto BTMRR and Spash Mountain.

On Sunday we did AK. Now this was crowded but only by EE. The FP were gone by 11 AM we got ours at 9:30. The standby line was 3 hours. Walked onto the Safari, Rapids (did three times), and Dinousour.

Great time to go.

I think we just must have planned it wrong. It seemed as though we were following the tour groups all the time.

AK was very busy on Sat the 21st and Friday the 27th, it was packed.
EPCOT I think seemed busy because Test Track was closed and I didn't ride Mission Space. The land was packed!!! You could hardley move. Living with the Land was a 50min wait, Soarin' was 70 min. The food lines were pretty long as well.

We waited 55 min for Turtle Talk (it was great, BTW)I am glad we waited. People were standing up against the wall, the room was so crowded.
MK and MGM weren't too bad. 30min was the longest wait for Space Mountain. But, during the new Stunt Show, they were turning people away because the stadium was full.
I don't know, maybe I was at the wrong park at the wrong day.

We did do EMH and it was very busy at each of the parks, so we won't be doing EMHs again.

We were there Jan.3-9.

We have been there that same week twice before.

It was incredibly crowded.

Splash Mountain was open on Sat the 28th. I do not know about Sunday we were at AK.

SM was scheduled to reopen on the 28th.

We were there from Jan. 12th - 23rd. The only bad day was Sunday the 15th at MGM. Even that really wasn't that bad 15min wait for RnRC and ToT, the first time in the morning after that it was a walk on. The real problem came after Fantasmic when we got to the Pop bus stop. I have never seen that many people waiting for a bus ever in all of our stays at WDW. My estimate was around 500 people. We kept right on walking around the corner and grabbed a cab and were back at the hotel in 5mins. It was the best $8 I spent all day long.

We were there the 21st-28th and found it kind of a mixed bag. Some days were definitely more crowded than I anticipated. This was also our first time there with the kids so I thik that really lowers your tolerance for lines. Even 15 minutes in line can seem like an hour when you have little ones who want to be picked up. I also think the time of day that you go really makes a difference. Here's what we found-

Sunday - got to Mk at opening. Walked right on everything in Fantasyland. Short lines for the characters in Toontown. Left by 2.
Monday-MGM. Seemed crowded. RRC was closed for repairs when we arrived so the TT line seemed longer than expected. We went to Playhouse Disney 3 times before we finally got into the show. They told us to come 15 minutes before showtime & the 2 times we did that the show was already full by then.
Tuesday- Epcot. This was an EMH day & we didn't arrive till close to 9. The Land & the Seas were absolutely packed. Waited almost an hour for Crush and 40 minutes for the Land. Half the boats on the Land had no drivers so I think that was the problem, empty boats kept going by. FP'd Soarin which ad about an hour wait. Left in frustration by 1 when it started raining.
Wed- AK. This seemed empty. Walked right on everything.
Thurs- back to Epcot. Arrived at opening & wallked right on MS, Honey, Figment, Mexico & Maelstrom. Didn't go to the Land or Seas so not sure if those were as packed as Tues.
Friday- MK. Seemed much more crowded than Sunday. Fantasyland was packed. Hour wait for PP and Pooh. Half hour for Jungle cruise. I think Thunder Mountain was about an hour. Although we saw the parade & got a great spot with no waiting.

Overall it was an awesome trip but just a little more crowded than I expected.
