Anyone else hitting a snag with free dining? **UPDATED**

I called at 7 this morning, sat on hold for 45 minutes, got through was 3/4 of the way through the reservation when Disney cut me off.

Called back - on hold for another 20 minutes, CM told me system was being updated and she couldn't book the free dining right now, but she would call me back....

I am calling again and will keep calling till I get my Free Dining....

Anyone else running into this or is it my unbelievable bad luck?

From the looks of things everyone is having some troubles with the computer system. Don't worry.. you'll get it. I imagine it's frustrating to be waiting though.

I had problem called back 3 times because CM said they were having computer problems. The 3rd time I called she said I already had free dining on my ressie.I guess is finally prossessed after call number 2

I had an email from my TA at 7:10am saying she had applied the free dining discount to my reservation. I don't know if the issues started after that or not but I am confirmed

ok so disney called me back and told me to apply the delux dining code and then cancel later. guess what that one worked they are having trouble with the reg. dining. so book up then cancel later.

I also had to book Dlx dining for now. It makes me laugh - if it's true, WHY oh WHY would they be doing an upgrade today? They had to have known that they would have an influx of calls today!!

After 4 phone calls, I was finally able to book FD! with regular ddp. Got ASM 8/16-8/23.

I got through at 6:05 am but they were having computer trouble so the call took well over 30 minutes. I booked 2 rooms at POP deluxe dining and have to call back later to have it changed to regular DDP.

Even though at 6:59am there wasn't a published code we called and got right through. I was applying the code to 3 reservations. Mine was done in under 3 minutes, then my parents were done in under another 3. My sisters reservation was another story. I was on hold for 20 minutes. Gotta tell ya, I was getting nervous that the CSR ran out of available rooms for the discount! CM came back and said I was all set and gave me the new totals. We saved HUGE! I am so thrilled and I wish for everyone that they get exactly what they want from this deal as well.

Is the FD you're all booking right now for Disney Visa credit card holders only?

What does "TO" stand for? Do I need to get a pin via snail mail or email for FD or can anyone call on 3/30 and ask for FD plan?

I'm sorry for all the questions. I still don't quite get how to actually sign up for free dining.

My AAA TA was told to call back around 10:30 -it's now 10:37 - should she have called me by now I'm very impatient. Worrying that we won't get our resort choice, and don't want to upgrade and pay more than we are now. If she doesn't call me by 11, I might have to call and suggest she try the deluxe pin code, and I will change it later.

Talked to my AAA Agent and we are all set for Free Dining for our September Grand Gathering.

This saves us $2500.00, I still can't believe it.

Now I just need to have all of my ADR's in place by our 90 day mark.

Don't know about "TO" ...maybe "the offer"??

As for signing up, I would watch these boards for the offer to the general public. If there is a code, it will be here on the DIS somewhere. Usually someone will get it early... possibly the night before. You should be fine if you call sometime Monday. It looks like getting a reservation during FD will be a lot easier this year than last. Hey guys, so excited you got the free dining. I'm holding out for a November trip, but wanted to warn you about something. Book your table service reservations ASAP! When they offer free dining, sometimes it's impossible to get the place you want at all during your vacation. I had this problem last year. I wanted to book a Fantasmic dinner package in HS, but they were gone within 15 minutes of 1st day they were available. I couldn't get one for our entire trip!
