Anyone else heard about this?

I posted this on the rumors board but thought I would mention it here also.

We were told by The Timeshare Store that Disney is planning on converting the Disney Institute to a DVC resort called Saratoga Springs & putting in another one on the Eagle Pines Golf Course called Eagle's Nest.

Anyone else heard this?

Melsmice --- Thanks for posting here, too. It always helps to hear DVC news.

Both of these projects are not rumors. They have been announced officially by Disney as at least being in the planning process. The Eagle Pine project (the name of one of the golf courses) was announced first but has been superseded by the project at Disney Institute. This was recently unveiled as Saratoga Springs.

Thanx MELSMICE. I appreciate you posting that here as well.
The clip that Debbie posted is very confusing. I know it was a cut & paste, but it makes it sound like Saratoga Springs is on hold for Eagle Pines. Oh well, perhaps it's just late, and my mind isn't in full swing. I think Eagle Pines is on the back burner.

Work is going on at the Institute sight.

All of the villas have been leveled and debris removed at the Institute site. The large construction machines (land clearing, bulldozers, etc.) are working on the site. There is a construction fence up, but the work is very visible from Downtown Disney. No building has yet begun. It looks like the infrastructure is underway.

"Eagles Nest"?? I highly doubt that Disney would pick a name so closely linked to Adolph Hitler!!

The many times I've been at Downtown Disney I never noticed how close the Institute was.
