Anyone else having problems with ???

I am having problems contacting my guide. Anyone else? I am getting concerned that if I do the add-on from the webcast I won't be able to use the 2010 pts. The longer I am waiting the more stressed I feel that I won't be able to use them.
Availability isn't good now and I am guessing it will only get worse.

Call the main sales number posted at disneyvacationclub.com and ask for a supervisor.

Also, consider telling your guide (or the substitute, if you get one) that your purchase is contingent on getting the reservation you want (you can give him/her some flexibility if you want)...frequently, guides needing a reservation to make the sale can get one from "breakage" inventory or undeclared (and therefore CRO) inventory...definitely worth an "ask"...

Thanks. That's a few good tips. My husband wanted to just change guides, but she is on a cruise and just not able to contact us. I can understand her situation, but I would think that there would be some kind of coverage for her while she is unable to help us.

We do not plan on going to Disney next year. We have a dvc and cruise planned for Aug/11- I would love to use the points towards the cruise or our bay lake stay. If we don't use them this year, they will probably be wasted.

Our other thought is to just wait until 2013 and purchase resale blt points.
we want more points to go to Aulani in the summer of 2013.

You will not be able to use the points for an August 2011 cruise. DVC reached their maximum quota for cruises this year last August/September. In fact, last time I checked, October 2012 was the first available date to book DCL via DVC points.

Ok. I guess using the points for the cruise is out. That leaves me with upgrading our 1 BR to something bigger if available, or adding days to vacation.
The last option would be to bank and try to use them next summer at HH, but I would hate to wait and then not be able to get in on 7 month window.

Also, we have 1 BR SV and I am guessing they probably don't have anything available for he rest of the summer.

Our guide has been on a cruise for the last 2 weeks and so when I had a question I just Emailed him. He was really good about getting back to me, and also gave me the name of another guide who would be willing to help via the phone while he was on the ship.
For our situation the Email communication answered all my questions, and I havent had to contact the other guide. Perhaps there is someone your guide could suggest for you to contact while she is on the cruise, like ours did?

My guide is also another one on the Dream cruise. He will be back to work on June 6th. I am meeting with him. So another week!

I call MS today and they tried to be helpful. One bit of info that I didn't know before is that if I add-on, I can use those 2010 points for my aug/11 trip I already had planned. Then I can "unborrow" the current points for that vacation. They will let you put back borrowed points without penalty.
This looks like a good option for me.

Well, we did the add-on. someone else at member services helped us out and the whole thing was done in a matter of 10-15 minutes. Our guide gave our name to another guide to help us while she was on the cruise.

Thanks for the tips. Also, we used our 2010 points for our trip this Aug and unborrowed our 2011 points originally used to reserve the room.

Now, I am hoping to save a couple of years worth of points and try to get into Aulani in 2013. I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for that one.
