Anyone else having issues getting Fireworks Dessert reservations?

I've been trying and trying to get reservations for the Wishes Fireworks Party for several different dates the first two weeks of December with no luck.

Has anyone recently been able to book during this time frame?

I'm hoping I didn't wait too long to try to book.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

I called about a week and a half ago and was able to book the dessert party for Dec. 4th, 9:05pm for 6 people. I didn't have any problems...good luck!

Last year when we went to the Dessert party it was quite new. I remember having issues when calling to make the reservations that the CM's were checking the box on their computer that said dining plan so every date we gave them it was booked since the dessert party isn't part of the dining plan. That may be what is going on.

Had no problem getting my time set up for 4 of us. This is a non party night. I do know this is becoming a popular event..but geesh.... It is only August....Wow.....

My sister and I are going to WDW for the first two weeks of December also. I called up to book the 'Wishes Dessert Party' and the only dates I was told they had spaces were during MVMCP nights so I booked it for the 9th, as we already had tickets for t!he party. I booked this about 2 weeks ago and they were already full then.

If you're going to MVMCP, maybe try one of those evenings. If not, I hope a booking space opens up for you soon.

Thanks, we wanted to go to MVMCP anyway so I gave this a try. The only day I was able to get during the party was December 7th, everything else was booked.

I was surprised how many CMs are still unaware of the extension. I called 5 times yesterday and each one of them spent 5 minutes or better trying to look up if the dessert party was even happening in December! I even had one CM that wouldn't check a couple of dates for me because it was before I checked into WL (have a split stay and didn't have the other ressie # on hand). What does it matter, we're past the 180 mark, if that even matters, and how do you know I'm not just staying offsite for those dates?!

Anywho, I was able to get it and MVMCP tickets so, time for the happy dance.

I just read this post and called to make sure they still had tickets for Monday Nov 29th, because I have to wait until tomorow because thats when i get paid, and they have NOO more on that day!! I am so sad, seriously. My heart dropped when she said she didn't have more available. Now my dilemma is that they have the night we are going to the Christmas Party but I want to spend as much time as possible watching the special events.

Do you think we will miss a lot if we go that night???

The other night they had available is a night where they close at 8 and I don't want to to head to MK that early. Looks like it is no Dessert party for us. I am so sad....

Whats the chances they will have more openings open up??

Keep trying!!! I've had some great ADRs fall into my lap just because I called/looked at the right time.

We are also booked for Dessert Party on the same night as MVMCP, mostly because that's the only night I was able to get Wishes and the night we've picked to go to the party. How is it going to work? I don't know, lol. It might eat up some time, but I'm hoping it adds to the magic of the night. Still not 100% either way.

That's strange. I just called yesterday and got 12/13 no problem. Wonder if it was the CM's mistake. The girl I talked to made it sound like there was still plenty of room for the 13th.

The 13th was my first choice date and I was told they had no more spaces.

Don't give up. Like someone said earlier, because it's prepaid, if someone can't make it they will definitely call and cancel to get there money back. Hopefully I'll see you there!

Same for us, tried for Dec 5th (MVMCP night) and the 6th, CM seemed to be telling that the dessert party wasn't even happening those nights, but the 7th was available so I took it, hope there will still be MVMCP party tickets available.
