Please tell me JetBlue is not the only airline doing this. I have a confirmed reservation from 9/10-9/19 at OKW. This is a re-book from a trip I had in June. I bought my JetBlue tickets in July. They have changed my flights 3 times and today, they put me on a flight coming home on 9/18. WHY? Oh because they are not even flying my route at all on the 19th. This is the same BS I put up with in June, to the point where I just cancelled my flight and decided to drive if WDW was going to be open. (Virginia 11.5 hours). So, I can shorten my stay by a day (nope) or I can add a day onto my stay, which I would like, but I have to work at 7pm on the 20th. So, it looks like I am driving. I will leave after working a 12hr overnight shift at 7AM, and hopefully, with nap breaks, get there by 10PM.
I really am not liking JetBlue

Ugh that’s awful. So sorry that happened. Southwest has changed our flights for early September a couple of times and the last change to return flight basically eliminated a day so we added a night to our stay. Flight schedules have been so frustrating. I just keep checking multiple times a day because I fear them changing things on us again

Yeah, SW changed my arriving flight early morning flight twice, then changed to night time flight. No more direct flights than night flight now. Grrr. And return flight was night flight direct now mid afternoon and only direct. Could change to a one or two stop, but hey, direct flight 2 hours. Why I would want to see other airports, no. So have to live with the changes.

Airlines are flying a dramatically reduced schedule. They are all running at a daily loss burning thru cash reserves and trying not to go bankrupt. Schedule changes are inevitable because they are reducing the number of flights and consoladating routes in order to survive

Southwest flat out cancelled our itinerary. The nonstop back was changed to a layover. The next day the nonstop down was cancelled. So they cancelled our trip. There are still at least 6 connecting flights listed for our dates too. I would have fough with them about it, but with NY’s quarantine orders, we would have cancelled anyway.

Southwest changed our flights 4 times. We arriving a day earlier because of it. Our flight going was changed from nonstop, 6am to 1 stop and arriving at 9pm and we weren't losing our entire first day so we are flying in the early evening before.

Well, you do have some other options...
1) Book both flights on another airline
2) Fly down on Jetblue and back on another airline.
3) Fly down on Jetblue and do a one way rental and drive back

But to answer your question, yes, all airlines are making a bunch of schedule changes to try to make/not lose as much money.

I just lost a whole day of my trip. Had a 9:20 pm flight on American MCO to DCA and it was moved to early afternoon. I am NOT happy. I booked a split stay to have one weekend at Beach Club, and now I am losing pretty much an entire day at the pool.

I searched every airline leaving MCO for DC on a Sunday night- nothing. Not one flight after 4 pm.

We had a return flight from RSW to BWI in June changed on SW, but were able to change it to a n/s later in the day.
I have three flights in October booked w/ SW. They changed one of them, a n/s from BWI, to one with a layover, but I had no problem changing that back to another n/s a bit earlier in the day. I figured when I booked that there was always the chance this could happen, given how they are trying to accommodate schedules, regulations, possible staff reduction, passengers and the bottom line. I think we as passengers will need to pack our patience and flexibility knowing things are in flux across the board at the moment.

But yeah - it is frustrating, especially when it messes with a already tight vacation or travel schedule.

Have lost count of how many times SWA has changed our flights summer going forward into Dec. up to this point there flight times were pretty much written in stone out of my market.

At this point I’m happy to see one daily NS flight in MCO every day.

OP not sure if you are in a market where there might be another airport within driving range with different carriers, better schedules.

September 13th. I can't do IAD or BWI because we live right by Reagan and I'm not really feeling a $75 uber. But maybe I will consider it when you take into account losing like 6 hours...

Edit: Just checked Dulles and nothing.... we originally had that 9:10 flight and they just cancelled it last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see them change that schedule if things continue the way they are.

Yes, the 4:51 is the flight we switched to after they moved us to an even earlier one. The 4:51 flight is still 4.5 hours earlier than we planned to depart. That is also a 1:45 magical express. So yes, losing the whole day. We were there in early August and had a 7:20 on Southwest. That flight has since been cancelled.
Yes, a lot of flights have been cancelled/changed. I was just pointing out that there ARE flights from MCO to DC after 4P. There are actually a ton of others, but they all arrive the next day.

Yes, thanks for taking the time to do that. I would consider that 6ish one on Delta, but not sure its worth the extra cost. And I think my boyfriend would kill me if I booked an overnight flight that takes 16 hours to get back to DC :earboy2: But not gonna lie.. .I would think about it.

I have flights on Southwest to go in October.
Rochester - BWI 6:20am
BWI - Orlando 10:15am
I got a message one of my flights was canceled, but no worries, they chose a new flight for me.
They canceled ALL morning flights from Rochester so they made my new itinerary
Rochester - BWI 2:30pm
BWI - Orlando 10:15am (unchanged)

dopes. I called and they were not even apologetic. I have to go the night before now and stay at an airport hotel, and go back to the airport to get on DME in the morning.

Airlines aren't the only ones. I have a cruise booked for March, hoping things restart. I had a sleeper bedroom on Amtrak booked to go to New Orleans and them come back. They canceled my train and issued a refund. I have to fly instead.
