Anyone else have a lovable clueless DH?

We each pack for ourselves, but I have to share -- we were getting ready for a cruise, and DH had two responsibilities 1) pack himself 2) get cash. We get on the ship -- he forgot his running shoes (no, we couldn't find any in the Caribbean ports, either) and he runs 5 miles daily, and he has $20 in his wallet. I gave him a hard time -- but in a loving way. I did everything else, including helping the 7 yr. old pack and making all of the travel arrangements. We had to pay the exhorbitant ATM fee on the ship, but I chalked it up to his extreme need to relax on this vacation! We still laugh about it.

We've all forgotten something vital, but unless you are packing, you have no idea what is involved!

If I pack it. You may not complain about anything I picked or forgot. Period.
I usually pack at the last minute because that's when I've finally finished all the laundry

This is me! We usually leave a little late because I get done with the laundry at the last minute.

My DH packs his own stuff but I end up doing all the kids things only b/c I'm home with them all day every day and I know all the little things they need/like. My DH may not realize that #2 only likes blue shirts and jeans or that #5 needs a specific type of lotion. I like doing all the packing for the kids because then I'll have no one elso to blame but myself if things get forgotten. I like things done my way!
