Anyone Else Have A Disneymare?

Last night I had what I would call a Disneymare. It reminded me of the nightmares I use to have before school started or a final. I couldn't find the classroom or I didn't show up for class the entire semester and now I had to take a final, that I hadn't studied for. Last night the Disneymare consisted of me realizing that it was day 5 of our seven day trip and we hadn't stepped foot into a park and I had no FP+ reservations. I woke up with alittle anxiety. Am I a planner, yes, but not a every minute of our trip must be planned. Anyone else ever have a nightmare about Disney?

About three months before our trip I kept having nightmares that we got behind in our schedules looking around at stores and never made it out of DTD to the resort or dinner and so lost all our ADRs and tickets for the rest of the trip.

I've had plenty like that. It's usually that I get to a park very late, close to closing and I can't get to what I want to ride. The parks in my dreams are also VERY different than in real life, but oddly consistent from dream to dream. Often, if I do get to a ride, it's either a really lousy version or unrealistically spectacular (defying the laws of physics). They are often water rides, even when they're not in real life (like Haunted Mansion, haha!)

Usually dreaming about any of this is a sign that I have come down with a case of "Disneyitis" and the only cure is booking a trip!

My disneymares consist of missing our plane and no other way to florida so trip is cancelled. Not packing at all so we have nothing the entire trip but the clothes on our backs ( I guess no money either since I can't even get a tooth brush). And the worst is the time we went to Disney and everything was closed. ( I must have channeled a little clark griswald in that one)

Yes! Years ago when it was my first trip since AK had opened I kept dreaming that we had missed going there.

As I get close to every trip I do have disneymares, typically that it's our last day and we haven't done anything yet or that we've missed dinner at my favorite place. Last trip I dreamed that it was my birthday (we always go during my bday) and the rest of my group all decided they didn't want to go to our dining reservation. I woke up so sad!

The good news is though that none of the disneymares have come true!

I get them before every trip. I'm the planner of the group and while I tell the others the plans, I'm usually the only one who keeps up with them. My Dis-mare is about me forgetting all of our ADRs and FP+ and sometimes even forgetting to go to the parks! Luckily that's never happened during waking hours *knock on wood*.

I get them too. Always about a week before our trip and I normally have 1 or 2. Had my first one last night. DH tells me I need to get a less expensive hobby! :)

I had one not too long ago that we were at the Magic Kingdom and there was so much construction everywhere that we couldn't find our way to anything. Everything was tall walls so we wouldn't see what work was being done and we were wandering around these skinny tunnels in between the walls! :rotfl:

I get those all the time. It usually deals with me trying to get someone at Disney but I can't.

I had one a week before our FP+ window opened about them being messed up while we were at the parks and everyone heading to the wrong park.

The BEST Disneymare I ever had happened at a time when I wasn't even planning a trip, about a year or two before the first Kingdom Hearts video game came out, right around Y2K and 9/11. My family of four was at the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella's clock kept chiming toward the 'end of the world'. For some reason, the bridge to Adventureland took you into a big Chuck-E-Cheese type crawlspace/ballpit area spanning the whole land. My grandparents came out from it and told us to head into the Castle. When we did, we climbed this staircase with those stained-glass-type steps like the ones at the start of the KH game, and at the top was a Snow White statue as if she was in suspended animation. The clock finally struck midnight, Snow's eyes started glowing red and we RAN back down the now-darkened steps with the forest bats and creatures from her movie chasing after us. Don't ask me why I remember this so vividly 10+ years later, but I do, and seeing those elements in the video game really freaked me out. No trip nightmare has come close to this one.

My recurring disneymare sounds similar to others. We are at the end of our trip and I realized we have not been to any parks yet.

New to Dis.. and one night I spent hours reading a thread about the worst resort rooms on property. That night I had a horrible nightmare about being assigned a room with 3 walls and about 10 beds that we had to share with strangers. :lmao: woke up sweating and everything.

Maybe that needs to be posted as a warning to newbie DISers..

I have had one recently and I am sure its because I stayed up too late planning our trip. In it my fiance got lost and sepeated from me and I had no way to contact him. He had a flight to catch back home and I was running frantically trying to find him, but no one would help me and the layout of the park was all wrong.

Need to lay off the DISboards so late at night.
