My mother passed away last summer from cancer, and my father has been seeing a few different women since. Is anyone else going through this? I'm 33, married myself, and I generally don't have any issue with him dating, it's just weird because him and my DM were married for 42 years. Luckilly the two women he's seeing (yes, 2 women) are both very nice, trustworthy, and have been known by our family for many years.
He's a very lively 70 yo, and I couldn't imagine him being by himself, however i'm not sure i'm hip to the remarriage idea (not that he's mentioned that yet). Some days i'm ok with it, and some days I just wish things were as they used to be.

My father, who is 85 (!!) has 'strung' 3 women along at the same time!!
My parents were married for 57 yrs. when my mom passed away. It was hysterical....my father had told me he had asked this lady out to lunch (first date ever). At the time, my oldest DD was in first grade. I never told the kids anything about Grandpop going on. Well, that morning AT BREAKFAST my dad comes into the dining room all decked out in a suit. He asks me and my daughter how he looks. Jeana looks up at him and says "OOOHHH!! Grandpop's got a date!!!"
He yelled at me "You told!!" I swore I didn't and Jeana told him she figured it out all by herself!
She had a blast going into school that day and sharing her "My Grandpop is dating" story!!
