Anyone else giving Disneyland for Christmas?

After many years of the kids not giving any ideas what they want for Christmas, we decided to give a trip to Disneyland as a family gift. We are going to leave New Year’s Day and stay at the Grand Californian.

Anyone else keeping a Disney Christmas secret? I need people to get excited with since I can’t get excited with the kids

It's what I do each year. We come down before Christmas and stay thru NY. II started when kids were young teens. Kids are now in their 30s and grandkids are along now.

How old are your kids? We tried this in 2017 and I think my kids were too young to comprehend it or there was just too much sensory overload of Christmas morning and they didn't have much of a reaction. I think they would now that they are older and have concept of it.

My wife and I are surprising our daughters when they get out of school for Winter Break. We've never done a Disney holiday before, so nervous and excited all at once!

My kids are teens, 18 and twins that are 14. The 18 yr old is obsessed with Disneyland and is worried that we won’t make it back again before he’s moved out. The only tricky part we have to deal with is getting him time off of work. We haven’t figured that part out yet.

We are doing a Christmas surprise with our bonus GrandKids this year. They are 8, 10 and 13.
They will wake up Christmas morning to a packed suitcase and are on mid morning flights to So. Calif. Meanwhile, DH and I will be headed in from Texas and our grad student will be flying in from Alabama. We all arrive by Noon on Christmas Day at either John Wayne or Long Beach. The kids don't know of this trip and they also won't know that we will be meeting up with them. Should be great fun, we are really looking forward to this family trip.

We are, sort of. We are heading to Disneyland the day before Thanksgiving. The kids, 19, 17 and 17 know we are going, BUT they don’t know we are staying at the Grand Californian. This trip will be their Christmas present. (Well they will get some small things.)
