Anyone else getting nervous about early Dec crowds?

We are kind of worried about the crowds at the parks.(we are staying in a house)We are staying for New Years and I think the Christmas crowds will still be there.Poof!They are all gone!

DH and I were there for a long weekend last year for his birthday (Dec 15th through 18th) and the crowds were absolutely fine on the weekday. I think you'll be very happy!

There is also another event for this year the first week of December. The Chicago Cubs organization along with Disney is putting on a week in WDW and will have a number of former and current players there for cub fans to meet and there will be a number of get together events. You have to be familiar with the Cub fan mentality to know that this will attract a huge number of cubs fans from around the country.

Making note to pack White Sox cap to wear everywhere. <g>

The only other time I've been to Disney was Thanksgiving weekend of last year, and it was still very enjoyable. I figure that December (7th - 14th) has to be better than Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving was not that bad, so all should be well.

We will be there Nov. 27 - Dec. 6 which makes our check in day on Sunday after Thanksgiving. We aren't going to any parks that day but will just settle in and probably resort hop to see decorations. On Monday, we are starting out with the KTTK tour and will see how crowded MK is after we finish. If there are tons of people, we will hop to another park. I am hoping the parks won't be crowded but we will take it in stride if they are. There are just too many wonderful things to see and do at Disney to worry about it. If Plan A isn't working, then Plan B goes into effect, then Plan C, etc.!

I asked for Brown Derby- The whole evening was open!!!
That was less than 60 days out.
Even it is crowded- I would be happy sitting
on Main Street watching the people and eating
ice cream!!! I just want to see Disney dressed up for my favorite

What convention is this? We are booked at POFQ to arrive on Dec.2nd.

I we are staying at POFQ starting the 4th and just curious to see if anyone knows anything about this or was this at another resort? wdwinfo only lists 1000 rooms available at POFQ so this had to be the wrong resort, riverside has a little over 2000. so even both resorts couldn't accomadate this big of a group.

We will be at POR from 12/4-12/14, also!!! I think I've read that this pop warner thing would be staying in the values. That was a while back, but they are teens, I guess, so that seems logical to me.

I'm not sure what convention it is exactly, but they have 6000 total, with a large portion at the Swan/Dolphin and the spillage was at POFQ. This was for Nov. 27-Dec. 4.

My Dh works for a very large insurance company in Illinois and we (family of 5) are going with dh to his conference in Orlando the week of Dec. 2-Dec. 10. I can't remember what the conference is for, just that the kids and I are going!!!!! It is some computer nerd conference

Thanks for the info! Computer nerds and teeny boppers with PopWarner. Sounds like its going to be an interesting mix of people that will be too busy to be at the parks!
