Anyone else get a HOLIDAY code order cancelled from disneystore.com?

I just received an email from disneystore.com telling me that my two orders I placed for gift cards were cancelled. It says they were cancelled because it states on the back of the Holiday card that it is not valid to purchase gift cards.

All my merchandise orders are still showing a status of 'active' and 'in the shipping warehouse'. I guess that a little more time on these will tell.

I thought it was standard practice not to allow discounts on the purchase of gift cards??? Else it becomes a major arbitrage activity to hold out a sale indefinitely.

-- I did not expect the order to go thru. I tried it just for the fun of it. Imagine my surprise when it worked! Of course I had to order two -- one for each of my kids - so I gave it a shot. I am not upset that the order was cancelled. I was kidding my husband that we could spend all day ordering gift cards and apply them to a cruise --- only paying $400 for every $1000 worth of Disney credit!

I suppose that's why they don't allow discounts on gift cards. While <i>you</i> may have been kidding, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would do exactly that.

Of course we get into the issue of only using the code once, but that horse has already been beaten.
