Anyone else get a call from MS about their waitlists?

I got a call last week from a MS rep asking some questions about my waitlist. Things about what I was planning to do with my current ressie when my waitlist came through, if I wanted to book when both my rooms became available each day or when 1 of the 2 rooms was available. All I kept asking was why he needed to know if my waitlist said to call me day by day when the room was available? He would say he needed to make sure he had the right info in the system, and I would ask again why he needed to know if I was going to be called when my waitlist became available?

I was sort of rude to him, but the whole thing made me nervous that they were going to screw up my waitlists and reservations. I ended by reviewing with him my ressies and waitlists and said my waitlists should show that I want to be called by room by day as soon as anything became available on my waitlist. I think I may call back Monday just to confirm everything and ease my mind. But it all seemed wierd, and I was wondering if anyone else got a call.

I just called MS yesterday and made a ressie at the WLV for December - 1 night for points and the other I was waitlisted for (but I'm holding the room for cash). The CM told me they never call anymore to see if you still want the room -- they just automatically give it to you. You have to check online on the dvc site to see if the wait list went thru and they took your points. The old system of calling and them asking for a response w/i 24 hrs is now obsolete.

Yesterday, as I went over the waitlists that I have for September, the CM reiterated that they do not call anymore when a waitlist comes through. It's noted for me that I need both rooms for the 15th. I guess getting two rooms this close would be a longshot, but I'm giving it a try. I've been on the waitlist for about 2 weeks.

There's something strange and a little inconsistent about the waitlist system now.
I was waitlisted for 1-5 Oct at BCV (have ressie at OKW) and was called a couple of weeks ago to say that 2nd and 3rd were available. I was advised to keep my OKW ressie as well and they would call me if another day came up. Well a couple of days ago they rang again to say that the 1st was available. So it seems that they are still calling in some cases and not in others.

Anyhow I'm now looking forward to watching Illuminations with a chocolate creme brulee and a glass of champagne from France and having a short wander back to my room afterwards.

When I went on the waitlist in Feb. for my Dec. ressie I asked to be called.
This past Fri. I got a call that my wailist had come through for Dec.

I know the new waitlist is automatic and they will not call you first- however the rep assured me I would still be called because I waitlisted before June 1st. It's still wierd, though, that they needed all that information if I asked to be called for my waitlist. Especially if noone else has been called by MS. Guess I'll find out in t-minus 11 hours....

I asked about a waitlist I had set up before June 1 the other day. It was messed up - It was supposed to be any three consecutive nights in a certain time frame but was listed as the entire time frame. It was changed to read each of the 3 night possibilities and that it would cancel out the existing reservation if one of them came through so the points can be used. After that was all straightened out I was told it would now be automatic if it came through although I had originally asked to be called. What really is upsetting is that now my place on the the waitlist is probably at the bottom where I may have been close to the top since I went on it in April. Oh well at least the current reservation is also okay and maybe will have better luck next time.
