Frustrated with only 2 wait-lists. With the different views, I wish we could just wait list for a resort with multiple views.

Trying to get Aulani or WDW for my kids spring break BUT I had to use both wait-lists for Aulani to try and capture "Island Garden View" and "Poolside View". Aulani is my priority so I used both BUT I would wait-list a resort at WDW too and take if it comes through before I book flights.

I know they are different points amounts but too bad we cant wait-list a resort and specify the view separately.

The 2 waitlist rule was put in place a few years ago. Prior to that you could have several listed at the same time.

My preference would be members had to commit the points to wait list and have the points available and tied up for the WL.

You used to be able to set it up if any of your nights came open they would be booked. Now it's all or none.

There are too many opportunities for members to make mistakes or forget about their waitlists. We've seen people complain because they cancelled a reservation, and then a waitlist comes through (because they didn't cancel the waitlist), and then their out the points. With more flexibility comes more problems, and Member Services would rather keep things simple and happy instead of adding features that cause more problems that they often can't solve.

I'm frustrated with the fact that I have 4 contracts and still only 2 waitlists-- just because they are the same uy--- now I believe they have made it that if you have different uy's you can join them on one account-- but still have multiple waitlists----- Bad form.

Since it doesn't appear that you can only use the points from the specific UY to make the reservation either. I too do not understand why members with more than one use year get extra WLs.

But in reality even having two wait lists can be a pain in pita if they both go through at the same time or near the same time. One could wipe out the other.

It's not necessarily different UY but different master contracts. They are, in effect, different people. They can't have it both ways. If they want to count them as a single member, they'll need to do it in all areas including allowing combining of points.

I have some recollection that part or all of the reason given was that people were waitlisting individual nights and thus ending up with stranded nights where they needed to move. And for a good while afterwards if you called in the CM's would not set up waitlists for individual nights - even two of them. You had to do all or else one single night.

I feel your pain. Being annoyed by the waitlist limitations is one of the main reasons I created ******. I couldn't book anything automatically, but at least I could watch availability like a hawk. I let it die a couple years ago, but recently resurrected it. Perhaps it could help.

I am all for having more wait list opportunities. Whenever I am asked about my satisfaction with my membership, I bring the topic up.
