Anyone else frustrated by Netflix queue waits?

As far as brand new releases, movies are officially released on Tuesdays. I try to have a movie that is arriving there on a Monday, with the brand new release in my #1 spot and I have always had the movie mailed out that day. Of course I can't always time it to send a movie back at the right time, but since our distribution center is down the street (it's closer than the post office) it's easy to get the timing down right if I do have a movie to return.

I do the same thing, but because of the receiving problem I mentioned that's not working out for me for the past couple of weeks. My top 5 movies are all new releases. Normally it works like a charm though.

That's a bummer and I wouldn't be happy, either.

Make the switch to Blockbuster. It's better, IMO. I've had both. With Blockbuster, the movies don't have to hit their door before they send more (maybe Netflix has improved this). I also get 2 free rental from the store each month and almost every other month, I can get a previously viewed DVD FREE from a list of several. :)

Did it say Very Long Wait or Long Wait???? Just curious.

I still love Netflix since I loathe renting movies from a store. Also they do not carry the Anime that dd watches.
I returned movies on Sat. and at that time Skeleton Key was in the #1 spot and said "short wait" but I did receive it on Tuesday.

I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I usually put movies on my waiting list while they are still in the theaters. That way I don't have to try and remember to do it when they come out on video. Maybe since I've had it on my list so long gives me higher priority??

Thanks! I did have some of the movies on there for about a month. Maybe I will try earlier.

Your Q said short wait, interesting. Mine still says Long Wait and Madagascar is Very Long Wait.
