Anyone Else Feeling The Wrath Of The Economy???

DH and I are okay so far. We live under our means anyway so adjusting to price increases hasn't been an issue so far. We'd be worse off if we were still driving the way we were a year ago. Last June I started working full time from home, so our monthly fuel costs dropped by over half between me not driving and DH being able to take my car vs. his gas guzzler truck. My job is secure, his is probably okay, at least for the next few years (his industry is hard pressed, not due to the economy but other factors).

We are actually spending more money lately, trying to get our house fixed up. One because we're tired of living in a half remodeled house, two because if DH does lose his job we may have to relocate and we want the house in shape in case we have to sell.

well hopefully these stimulus checks will help out and these jobs can go back the way they were =)

I was reading in the paper just last week that the number of suspected arsons is up as folks try to "burn down" thier house to avoid foreclosure. That's just scary, not to mention that it endangers folks like you and your DH!!!

We saw a house just down the street from us burn down last weekend. It was strange as just days before they were moving things out of the house in a moving van....we assumed they might have moved or bumped something while moving it all and started a fire....but the Monday after there was crime tape around it and tons of investigators/police/fire...etc with a HUGE dozer pulling pieces of the house down. It's a GORGEOUS house, and they had a nice RV out back too....well it's been gone for a month or so...again we assumed a long vacation, but maybe they sold it?

=nicolemomof4cuties;25151021]We are planting a garden this year too. Food and gas are just outrageous. I just do not drive anywhere anymore. I am a homebound person if you have ever saw one.....:guilty:

We've had a garden for years....except last year when we moved. This year we decided to put in another one and our neighbor asked us if we were 'low on money'???? HUH? No, we just like our vegetables fresh and free LOL Not to mention I can all of them so we have plenty throughout the winter too....why does that make us poor? LOL

I just applied for a full-time job. We are just making it with me working part-time. My dh didn't ask for me to go back to full-time, I just thought I would fill out the application and see what happens. I'm not actively seeking to go back full-time but if the opportunity presents itself I'll take it. I hate struggling.
