Anyone else feeling like a newb all over again?

There needs to be a support group for all of us old timers who loved the feel of a crisp new paper fast pass in our pockets! ;)

I got all excited when I saw sparkly lanyards at the dollar store until I realized there is no need for a lanyard any longer! No more name tag pocket full of fastpasses. (which I'm sure will actually be a good thing--but you know, tradition!)

And yes, I'm feeling the pressure too. This will be my parents first trip! For years I've talked about my love for Disney vacation planning, about how we never had to wait in lines, had pockets full of fastpasses, and always got those elusive ADR's. I was the go to girl in our family and neighborhood if someone was planning Disney. If I muck this one all up they are going to think I have what I call "American Idol syndrome"--where you think you're really really great at something that you actually really really suck at! It doesn't help that the most elusive ADR I've been able to score is a table for 5 at Ohana...and we need a table for 7! Ugh! I *might* have muttered some not so magical things about Disney under my breath these last few days.

I am excited about magic bands though--so there's that! And if my family is giving me a hard time about anything I can get even by giving a glowing review of Stitch's great escape and suggest that they ride it right away!

Oh gosh! I am so glad that I am not the only one! I am planning an October trip with a friend who has not had a lot of WDW experience, and her trips were never about her, so maybe that is where I am feeling pressured. My family was last there in November/December 2012, so the FP+ is what is throwing me off. I have always been comfortable planning, but now I feel very off center, and worried I will really throw our touring off. She won't know the difference, and would not care in any event. but I will know and I will care. I have been checking out the tips, but am still worried. I love the suggestion to make sure you have plenty of time to finish each land. I refuse to rune from one end of a park to another!
