Our first cruise in 1998 I didn't know a thing about
DCL - I'm sure these boards didn't exist then. So, we just went on our cruise, read the daily Navigators & did as much as we could, while making sure that we got a lot of relaxation time in. It was terrific!
Now, I use these boards to get as much information as I can about the ship, excursions, etc. Even though I'm a planner, with the cruise, I don't stress about things that we don't get to do & I try to take the tips about pre-booking or getting to things timely to make reservations & use them, if possible.
To us, the whole point of cruising is to relax - especially after several days in the parks which, although we love very much, is a lot of work with walking miles each day, getting up early, going to bed late, crowds, etc.
Don't get overwhelmed by all the info. here. See if there are "must do" things & try for them if you'd like, but just enjoy the whole experience. You are going to love the cruise.
