Anyone else excited about Wizarding World of Harry Potter

They announced some of the attractions that will be part of the new Universal Studios Wizarding World of Harry Potter today.

"visitors will be able to sample butter beer and pumpkin juice at the Three Broomsticks Restaurant, relax in the Owlery and be fitted with a wand at Olivander's Wand shop."

"Major attractions include the Dragon Challenge, a high speed ride described as "definately for the brave" based on the Triwizard Tournament and another ride Flight of the Hippogriff, a coaster based on the mythical creature."

There is a video online also. I love the Harry Potter series so I'm really looking forward to it.

I am! I watched the video and it looks pretty neat. I wonder when in the Spring it will open? We're planning a Disney trip for mid-May, so it'd be nice to spend a day or two at Universal while we're there and see it, although I'm sure it will be super packed that soon after opening. Either way, sounds very cool!

We are going for Easter Break, but since it is so early this year, I doubt HP will be finished We have our fingers crossed though - we will DEFINITELY be taking a side trip to Hogwarts if it is opened.

I am so excited, I am a huge Harry Potter fan!! We will be making a special trip just to see the new Harry Potter land!

It sounds like they're recycling Dueling Dragons and the Flying Unicorn. That stinks. I was hoping for something more original that that.

I'm really excited about the HP land and I can't wait to go, but I must, lol.

We've done Orlando twice in the past year, and next year's vacation's already scheduled so we'll be visiting after HP's been open for a while.

I hope those who do go early share their pictures, so we can all enjoy their experience!

They are re-theming Dueling Dragons and Flying Unicorn, but there is also one brand new attraction that supposed to blow everyone's socks off called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey...there's not much detail about it yet. We are planning our first ever trip to Universal for next October. We want to do HHN as well. We're super excited!

I'm looking forward to it. I'm a bit bummed that they are only having thrill rides. I get motion sickness, so the 3 rides they've announced are out for me. However, I still look forward to checking out the stores and restaurants, as well as just seeing what they've done theme-wise. We'll probably add on a day to our WDW vacation to see this some time next year.

Quickly jumping OT, but since you all are my friends I must tell you that if you plan to visit Universal for this new attraction, be sure to do this: STAY ON-SITE!!! I do not care what it costs or if you need to sell one of your children to afford it....just DO IT. Universal's front-of-line access perks make Disney's FastPass system look like a joke. LOL.

I'm so there when it opens, and I'm not even a big fan of the books and movies. I was in IOA this past March and just what they had done to that point made me really excited.
I also can't wait to get back to Universal Studios and ride Rip Ride Rocket.

I've read some very positive reviews from people who stayed onsite and got to use the FOTL privilege. It's like going from third class to first.
