We are going down to Disney in three weeks, there will be nine of us total. In order to rent a Grand Villa, I reserved four days under my DVC membership and my uncle reserved the remaining three under his. He is not coming to Disney with us, but we were on the line together and made sure the reservations were linked together.

Here's the thing...when I called to confirm, they said we are reserved for the 15th-19th. CM told me that the only thing he could tell me about my uncles reservation is that it is indeed linked to ours, but since I am not my uncle I can't see anything else about this reservation. I asked him again if it was going to be a problem that my uncle would not be there at all to check in for this reservation, and he said as long as our names are listed under his reservation, everything is fine. But, he wouldn't check for me that our names are listed under his reservation!!! He also wouldn't give us the confirmation number for that part of the reservation, just said that my uncle was the only one who could see that information.

ARG. Has anyone else had experience with this? I am just nervous that somehow this is going to get glitched up. :guilty:

I did. A friend booked 3 nights and I booked the 4th and linked it to hers. She got a revised confirmation for all 4 nights and it was treated as one reservation.

Did your uncle get a confirmation for his part? I would get a copy of it.

People renting do this all the time and it should function as one reservation with one checkin and you should not have to move. Since you know it's already linked, you should be totally set.

But if you haven't already, ask your uncle for at least the confirmation number. (If it were me, I'd ask for a copy of the confirmation letter to take with me to WDW). Then you can call MS back and give them the confirmation number to check that your names are indeed on that reservation.

Best wishes -

I think it may be easier to link if you pick one person, you or the uncle, and list that person as the main name on the reservation on both reservations. My mom and I were advised to do this to avoid any chance of problems with the link :wizard:
