I have been wrestling with the idea of getting another dog. Since I lost my fur baby a few years ago, I haven't been ready to get another one yet. But, I just saw this post today for "The Betty White Challenge". I am on a mission to see if I can find a local shelter to visit and donate to. Maybe it will inspire me to consider opening my heart to another fur baby again.

Yes, I donated to an amazing dog rescue in the Midwest. I wish I could do what they do, it's amazing!!

I donated to a cat rescue that I volunteer at- I know everyone there including the owner is not paid and all the money goes towards the cats/kittens there and the rescuing and spaying and neutering ferals that they do.

I've been meaning to send a donation to my favorite rabbit rescue and decided today was a good time to do it. According to their website, my donation will buy fresh greens for two rabbits for over a week. Knowing how much my bunny loves his greens, I'm glad I can help buy some for the shelter bunnies!

When I went in for my volunteer shift the director of the shelter told me that there has been a notable increase in donations today. It's really going to help a lot. Thanks to all of you who took part in your areas.
