DH and I love doing this at Epcot. We try to get one item from each country in WS (either from snack stand or Counter service) to share. A typical round might include Beavertail in Canada, Fish and Chips in England, Cream Puff from France, Pastry from Morocco, Sushi from Japan, Chicken Strips from America, Bratwurst from Germany, Italian Ice from Italy, Egg Roll from China, Pretzel in Norway, and Nachos in Mexico.

Anyone else do this? If so, what are some of your highlights and favs?

We have a different version of this game...involves beverages instead of snacks! :rotfl: But with DD now in tow, we don't play this anymore! Only problem with this game is that it takes a lot of time. You actually have to sit down and eat/drink your choice before moving onto the next country...unless you are a REALLY fast eater and REALLY slow walker

Add school house bread from Norway to your list. YUM!!!!!!!

We did drinks and snacks (something has to soak up all that booze!) and had a great time. VERY pricey, though.

Mmm. Faves include the Peach Schnapps frozen smoothie in China, cheese plate in France, and beer in Germany.

Nothing better than drinking your way around the World!

This Sounds like a good idea, quetion though my dh and father are beer drinkers how many of the countries have their "native" beers available?

We plan on doing this in March and I am looking for ideas too. We will have 5 CS and 5 snacks to use for 5 adults and plan to buy our drinks with our Visa rewards card. Will I have a problem doing that?

We do a lot of snacking like this, the only problem is that sometimes we have a sit down lunch first! :lmao: Have you ever been during the food festival in the fall? It's great, it's like they add an extra counter service restaurant to each country, they also have carts from many other countries as well. I'd reccomend you add a crepe in France, soda in Japan (that's what my kids do) & chocolate in Italy!

Great idea! Never done this before but it makes so much since. There are a few things I would like to try so maybe DH, DD13 and I can make a day out of doing it. Thanks for the idea!:goodvibes

One December I was in the world with friends and went to each country and bought chocolate for my DH. I gave it to him for xmas. We tasted the different countries chocolates over the next week, it was alot of fun.

Don't forget to start with the margueritas in Mexico for lunch!
We do WS - have a snack or a drink in every country!

I went during F&W festival this fall. Over lunch and dinner I had mango and strawberry salad, Argentina ; Spicy Beef Empandos, Mexico ; Taste of Spain, Spain ; California Roll, Japan ; Peach Buckle, Route 66 ; Quiche and Truffles, France ; Salmon and cheese soup, Canada ; Greek salad and spinach pastry , Grrece and maybe one or two beverages along the way :rolleyes1

it was great :cool1:  :cool1:

We do this all the time, and we love it. Of course we tend to pair our snacks with a drink too which makes for a lot of fun:)

One year we even video taped the whole experience. Our stops normally include, fiesta marguerittas and combo platter from the Cantina in Mexico, school bread and sweet pretzels from Norway, pretzels and beer from Germany, and fish and chips from United Kingdom. The year we taped it we ate and drank at every country. IT was one of our most memorable experiences.

Carry some cash as well. Some kiosks accept only cash.

Brats at Germany, snow cones from Japan, rice pudding from Norway, eggrolls from China, fish & chips from Great Britian, churros from Mexico!!! Those are our favorites but not in that order. We have great fun in the countries. We also shop around the countries. We love the silver at Mexico, addais and gummy bears at Germany, more jewely at Italy, and sushi supplies at China.

When I was there last....there were no more beavertails in Canada unless they reopened that kiosk.....I hope they did, DH loved those. He loves the rice pudding in Norway, not the one with apples, the one with the strawberries...and how about that schoolbread...yummy.

We did this in June and plan on doing this next week as well. Fish and chips (England), Pasteries and Grand Marnier Slushies (France), Brats and saurkraut (Germany), More Pasteries (Norway)..

I just hope we save room for dinner at Le Cellier!
