anyone else checking the computer obsessively for new codes?

I am ashamed to say that I am not planning on straying too far from my computer today in case someone posts about new discount codes for dates beyond July 3rd. Do you think it is too soon to hope for them to release new codes?

No I don't think it is too early, BUT with what happened lately with the AP rates, we can't anticipate what CRO is going to do. I am anxiously awaiting the "after 7-3" discounts. We want to go in mid-July. I hope the codes will be better than the early summer ones, after all it is value season, right?

I read on another board that the new codes will come out around Mother's Day (the person ~ a travel agent, I think~ who posted this didn't exactly say Mother's Day, but they said that Disney likes mothers )

Since they're not even releasing new codes til then, I'm betting AP rates won't happen til June

I am also checking the boards nonstop. My mother, Whitegloves, keeps telling me if she can't be home that I have to check, which I'm already doing. The family keeps making fun of us, but we're used to it.

O.K. I am a bad girl today. I sent my husband to church without me so I would be home to check for codes. I have only checked three hundred times or so...

I tried to override my guilt by making a beautiful basket of spa products for him to take so it can be auctioned off next week to help our children go on a mission trip in June.

We are going to a birthday party today at 3:00 and won't be home until 8:00 or later!!!

Now tomorrow I have to go back to work after being on spring break and I will keep checking all day everyday until we know something.

I currently have a reservation/rez/ressie at the Dolphin for myself and two boys(5 and 8) because I was able to get a good fare out of LGA . I am terrified to fly. Last year we took Amtrak but this year decided I would bite the bullet.

Anyway, I am hoping some codes come out soon because I think the boys will enjoy WL/AKL.

I too am a prisoner of my computer today. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will come out soon! Nothing in my Sunday travel section though!

There was once a legal case with department stores, where the department stores were told that it was illegal to claim their prices as promotional prices if they gave what they claimed to be promotional pricing everyday. Ever since then, I think this has been a precedent for marketers to go at least a few days between offers.

My guess is that the next offer will show up for Disney Visa on May 1st (they seem to go by the calendar month so far on their offers). I think that other offers will come out next weekend, or the following weekend.

We stayed at WL with our son and he absolutely loved it! The Hotel is breath-taking! We have ressie's for August 1 through 7. I am also a nervouse flyer. My poor husband will have to hold 3 hands in the plane: my 4 year old and 1 year old sons, and mine!Here's hoping the codes will come our way!

I grew up in So. Cal. (CdM/NB). Spent A LOT of time at Disneyland. So, I really wanted my boys to experience the "magic." We stayed at the Poly last year because I wanted to be on the monorail as I wanted the convenience since this was the first extended vacation we have taken (it's that flying thing). Plus, I liked the idea of the Neverland Club in case I had a nervous breakdown. The boys, did great on the buses and I did not need to avail myself of the Neverland Club.

Hopefully, something will come out soon. My 9yo wants to stay at the Contemporary - but only because of the arcade. Arcades being his sole criteria for resort selection.

I am also waiting on AP rates for after 07/03. We are going from Aug 30th through Sept 8th. Right now we have a comeback rate of $207 a night plus tax for a waterview room at the YC. I hoping that the AP rates might be like in past years $169 a night plus tax for a standard view and $179 or $189 a night plus tax for water view.

I just called to add a fridge to our reservations because of having an infant and asked if any codes were coming out soon. She said the Disney Visa would have codes coming out on May 1st but please do not call before that day to check.

So if they are Disney Visa Codes I am sure there have to be others.

Welcome to the DIS, jadedNYer! Good for you for facing your fears and getting on a plane. I share your terror of flying...I had a bad experience on a flight to Cancun and have not gotten on a plane since.
