I would have preferred to book flights first but we're so desperate to stay onsite and I know the offer is usually extended but we thought if it wasn't we'd be really disappointed. Never done DIY before and have only been to Disney once as an adult so this forum is invaluable! DBF has never been to WDW or even to America so it makes everything even more exciting.

I've also just booked. 13 nights at Animal Kingdom Lodge on DDP. 22nd September to 5th October 2013. Planning on adding 2 nights in a Universal Resort from the 20th.

It's over £500 dearer for the same holiday accomodation in 2013 at OKW that we've paid this year.

I keep seeing threads about the keys and california and wondering if we should branch out again (DD will be 7, nearly 8 in Oct 2013) Decisions, decisions

Please don't worry about the flights. We always seem to manage to find something and you can always adjust your dates with Disney without losing the perks if you find cheaper flights a few days earlier or later.

Be warned: WDW trips are addictive and the DIS does not assist in curbing the obsessive habit

You can never tell - last year we booked for this coming Oct just days before the offer ended, then it was extended, and improved, with $150 spending money added.
I have no idea what will happen this time around... There already is $200 included, so the deal looks about as good as it will get, but that's not to say it won't be extended. Or maybe bookings heve been brisk enough and it won't be. Anyway I'm not booking for next year at the moment. Don't know what to do yet, and I guess we'll stay offsite if there aren't any offers if/when we do book.

I had an email from Charter Travel today reminding me the $200 gift card ends today

In the email though they did say the free DDP would still be available for a few more weeks but the additional $200 gift card was ending today

Last April we booked for this October when they offered free DDP & $300 gift cards and then they had a break when they just offered the free DDP. Later they added $150 gift card - so you never know in a few weeks another gift card offer may be available

We've just booked for Oct 2013 for a gang of us and managed to get the $200 gift cards per family. To me it's the kids spends sorted so certainly an added bonus!

Well done to all those who booked - it's very exciting!

Great choice.We have just returned from the YC and fell in love with the place.Storm Along Bay is one of the best pools onsite.We also got an unexpected upgrade from a SV to a LVThis was the view from our room.Enjoy the planning.

Aw, what?! The guys missing out! I reckon I'm more excited than our lass at times, I really can't wait. It's something I've always planned to do after University, ever since I was 14, so I've had a lot of time for the anticipation to build. He'll come around, it was some of the YouTube videos of the place that got me going, there's some cracking ones kicking around - try forcing him to watch one, maybe it'll help =]
