Anyone eaten at the Blue Bayou since they remodeled it?

I know that Pirates just reopened (yeah!)--and I heard that they also did some remodeling of the Blue Bayou while it was down. Has anyone seen it since they reopened it? Does it look any different to you?

We are going next week and thinking of eating there again to check it out. I typically don't "love" the Blue Bayou food or menu offerings (I would rather eat at Carnation Cafe any day!)--but may be willing to try it again.

Curious to see if they did anything. It was my understanding that they just closed BB because they were doing the POTC refurb. I didn't realize they were doing anything to BB? :confused3

AHHH okay now that makes FOUR threads today that my reply has gone above the one I'm responding to!

DH & I did last Friday! We had an excellent time - but I didn't notice any updates to the *dark* restaurant....
We sure enjoyed the gumbo and Monte Cristo we split $12!! Is that the norm or was it raised due to it being Thanksgiving weekend??

Actually believe it or not, the split plate charge is $12 year-round!

We went there this trip and it was nice. Were the lanterns always kind of red and green? They seemed to be this time, I assumed for Christmas, but maybe not. :confused3

I don't think anything else was done to it. The atmosphere was nice and the food was fine, but for my money I prefer Cafe Orleans. :) (We did a split plate for $12--I know you can ask for an extra plate instead and do it yourself, but my mom likes things to be pretty. Anyway, it was STILL too much food!)

I read from some CMs reporting that the reason BB was closed was because to do work on POTC they put up big plastic sheets so dust and debris didn't get into the dining area. So it may of only been closed because of this sheet hanging over the seating.

Though those light shades do look seasonal, alright. Though they all don't look like the close one and are the same as in my pictures from other times. I think the red, green, white is a coincidence.
