Anyone eaten at Bubba Gump Shrimp?

Hi folks,
I've tried the search engine but can't find anyone who has been to Bubba Gump Shrimp yet? DW & DS are big fans of the film so I thought that it would be a good surprise to take them for a meal on our way back from our first day at US,so any reviews would be greatly appreciated

We ate at one in Charleston SC and liked it a lot...I had the Shrimp PoBoy...It was good and I liked the atmosphere.

Where is the one in Orlando? Is it new?

DW and I ate at the one in San Francisco and really enjoyed it. If you like the movie, you will love the restaurant. Lots and lots of props from the movie and it is always playing there.

we've been to the new one at Citywalk, it's well worth it. they're not participating in the Priorty Seating system at the moment, so we've seen some wait times.

We ate at one in Hawaii. I found the wait staff a bit tiring, but the kids were amused. The food was quite good and it wasn't outrageously priced.

I've been to the one at Bayside in Miami, we really enjoyed it. Better than most chain restaurants.

I have eaten at quite a few of the Bubba Gumps. Great food, love the atmosphere of the place.

You should try asking this on the Universal board. I think some people there have eaten at the one at CityWalk.

I have eaten at the one in New Orleans - it was very good. The menu was limited as we went shortly after Katrina, but the food was still very good. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade - yum!

We ate at Bubba Gumps on Daytona Beach and enjoyed their burgers. Plus, if you enjoyed the movie "Forrest Gump" then you should get a kick out of this eating experience.

I've eaten at the one in Chicago. It was okay, but very expensive for what you got, imo. I didn't realize there was one in Orlando, though.

Ive eaten at the one in times square as well as the one in orlando. They were both excellent as far as their atmosphere and food. The fried shrimp was absolutely amazing!!! It melts in your mouth lol.

I've eaten at the one at Navy Pier in Chicago and the Mall of America in Minneapolis. I had the "Bucket O' Trash" both times. It's one of my favorite places. I especially like the responsiveness to the "run forrest run" and "stop forrest stop" signs. I like that I can leave the stop side showing and not be bothered. Both times they also quizzed the guests on the movie. It's a lot of fun and I think the food is pretty good.

We've been to a Bubba Gump Shrimp once back in 2004 in Monterey, CA. The food was decent, although I thought it a bit pricey for what you get as well. The wait staff was decent but I thought a bit annoying. I can't remember if they "perform" or not. If you like that kind of stuff, then it's the place for you.

Our friend's finally talked us into trying Bubba Gumps, which they love. We found the service to be poor and the food to be mediocre and overpriced. Needless to say we were thrilled to have waited 90 minutes for the experience.

With all the great other options in nearly every city this restaurant is present in, I can guarantee we won't waste another meal there.
