I have noticed on the Dis and on another site the menu for Biergarten does not show a different menu for kids. When I did a board search I found post back in 2006 that said they had the usual kids stuff. Hot dogs, chicken strips mac and cheese and so on. But I couldn't find anything recent. Does anyone who has been recently know if they still have this kind of kids foods? My hubby and I want to try Biergarten in October but I know my son. There is no way he will even try the items I see on the menu.

Thanks

Ate there in late April...there were hot dogs, chicken fingers, mac and cheese and alot of other kid friendly foods

They did have hot dogs ,mac and cheese. To be honest cant remember about the chicken fingers. My daughter loved the salmon.

Are the kids items on the buffet or ordered seperately? DH and I will be @ Biergarten on Sept. 18th. (anniversary trip, no kids) He practically begged me to make ARDs there so I did. I'm a somewhat picky eater and haven't seen anything on the menus that appeals to me so mac and cheese and hot dogs actually sounds good:) .

Biergarten is a buffet. So the kids choices are not listed separately. As with just about all Disney buffets, there will be a separate section on the buffet for "comfort foods" (mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.). Those are considered the kids choices.

HOWEVER - kids can eat anything they want on the buffet. They aren't limited to the "comfort foods". And vice cersa - adults can freely partake of the "comfort foods" to their heart's content.

As for the entertainment - I purposely made our reservation for about ten minutes after a show had just ended. We were able to get seated, put in our drink orders, and enjoy our first round of food before the band came on. During the show, we just went back for seconds (or thirds) and were able to enjoy the band without too much interruption. Worked like a charm.

I just ate there Wednesday. :goodvibes
It is a buffet. There is an area where anyone can take the food, but it is more geared to kids. (Mac n Cheese, and I don't really recall what else.)
I think there would be plenty of items there kids would eat. But it depends on the kids.

There are a lot of things on the buffet that a picky eater would enjoy, such as the different sausages, none of which are spicy or taste "weird", IMO. Spatzle is just like pasta, only differently shaped.

Also on the buffet are "normal" kid-friendly items such as mac and cheese. If your child wants chicken fingers, let them try the snitzle, which is breaded and fried pork. Looks a little different, but tastes essentially the same.

We ate at Biergarten in July and I noticed a lot of kid-friendly choices on the buffet; mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.

Hope that helps... :)

Have 6:30 ressies in Feb I checked the Band times and I'll be able to get my food before which will work perfectly. Can't wait!!

Definitely try to coordinate your ADR with entertainment times. It's well worth it!

We were there a couple of weeks ago, for the first time, and loved it! It was good for us because our adventurous boys got to try lots of interesting foods and our daughter was able to fill up on simple fare. As we arrived, they were finishing one show. By the time we were ready for dessert, they had started up again and we stuck around to watch it. Definitely worth seeing!:goodvibes
