Hi, I was over looking at Mousesavers, and I was wondering...Has anyone ever earned enough to say... pay for adult hoppers? Can you really buy them using these certificates? It seems like I have nothing better to do than surf the net all day, if I can use that to knock off some of the cost of our tix it would be great. If you have used them to buy hoppers, do you buy them at check in with the certificates, or do you go and buy them from the Disney Store/Disney online? How soon do you need to order your certificates before you need them? What else have you earned/used your certificates for? How much extra is the plastic card?
Thanks!

I've earned quite a few points with Mypoints, and i have used them to buy park passes. I got around the official channels in a different way - I cashed out for the web certificate. Then I went to ebay where there is a gentleman who sells the passes at a discount. He sells Disney passes, disney quest and water park passes, dinner show tickets, etc. It seems he owns or works for a visitor's center and he puts the discounted passes on ebay. PM me if anyone wants his name - I'm not going to advertise for him on here. Anyway, he accepts ebay payments/billpoint, and I use the webcertificate MC number on the billpoint order, and it goes through.

I am going back to Disney and Universal in Nov. and I cashed out a few weeks ago for a 100.00 web certificate, which I used to buy passes to Disney Quest. I still have 2 days left on older Disney tickets, and my friend gave me her tickets when she got back, so I have enough for us for 2 or 3 days. Since we plan on spending the other 2 at Universal, we're set this time. However, I have come across so many point earning opportunities that I have almost 8,000 points again on mypoints.
Good luck with your points,
Adele

Last year, I bought one park hopper online from TicketRes (pete's site, I'm not sure if they still sell tickets) and another one from disney.com using my webcertificate. I then used the balance of the card to pay on my hotel reservations with dreamsunlimited.

Baileymouse,
Can you share your secret of how you are getting so many mypoint opportunities. Things have been pretty slow for me lately and any pointers I can have would be great. I just can't seem to get that Tupperware e-mail. I wish I knew what you could do to get that one.

I get enough mypoints to cash out for $10 about every other month. I do buy my contacts through there and that is 750 points each time. The only time that I made out better is when I ordered a computer throught Dell. I made $75 just on that. It was great, my DH was helping my neighbor buy a new computer. I intersepted them before they ordered it and asked if I could order it through Mypoints.

I had over 35,000 points at mypoints at one time and cashed them out for over 300.00 worth of certficates...but I shop online alot and many of the points came from that, plus a couple of years ago mypoints had way more opportunities than now, and paid more points on the offers as well....now its taking me forever to rebuild points.

I've been doing pretty well with my points. I've responded to the special email offers, only when I can use the product but I got 1000 from drugstore.com. I try to do most of my shopping online through a points website. One thing I just did that I kick myself for not doing sooner is ordering Disney gift cards online. I spend so much at the Disneystore, that I hated not getting points. So on my last Disney.com order, I ordered a gift certificate and the next time I wanted something in the Disney store I used that instead of cash. That helped me get points I wouldn't otherwise have had. I'm not sure if it would have been cost effectve to just order the card, because of shipping, but I had something else I wanted to order anyways :)

Sharbear,

I guess I've been lucky - I received the Tupperware email twice, and I order quite a bit online. I order my petfood from Pet Food Direct, I order books and videos from B&N, I order gift certificates and other items from other vendors. My husband wants clothes from Old Navy? I go online.

I did the AOL thing for 1,000, too, and I signed up for connections and a couple of the other programs - and then canceled. It's a pain to keep track of but it helps add points to the mix.

Update your profile on mypoints. Make sure you check off everything, and it might help if you tell them you make more than you do, lol. I would imagine that they send more offers to people who make more, have pets, have kids, etc. so I put it all down.

Take care and good luck,
Adele

I wish I'd get that darn tupperware email! :(

Yes it can be done. Not as fast as befor but it can.

Happy Rewarding

I think it has been much slower too! In the past, I use to receive e-mails to register for something, and get 250 points. These use to come fairly often. Now I only get the 5 or 10 point visit this site e-mails. It's a slow go now a days!:):D:)
