Anyone driving instead of flying?

Just wondering if airline fares will decrease for summer travel, as the time gets closer.
We have the option of driving, but would like to fly.

So I'm wondering, if anyone has a feel for how heavily booked airlines are for the summer.

PIT to MCO or to Atlanta

Thanks

I use to drive from NY to southern florida and back twice a year for most of my childhood and then once as an adult I did all the driving to
Disney by myself......it got old real fast. Also I hate losing all that vacation time in the car. I would not choose to drive unless it is the only choice.

We're probably going to drive:( I booked our flights about five months out for our last trip and I haven't seen a rate I'm willing to spend yet. We'll see. If a decent rate comes up, I'll jump on it, otherwise we're driving.

Even with the price of gasoline.. there's three of us going so we can split the gas AND rent-a-car (Yay Alamo!) and be ahead money.

Unless air comes down and gas goes up we are driving. Even with the extra nights hotel room to drive it will still be about 500 cheaper than flying right now.

We did the math - and god forbid - gas would have to break 4$ a gallon for flying to make sense for the three of us.
