I was just wondering if anyone has driven recently from Utah . . . specifically the Salt Lake Valley area. I'm just wondering how much gas was for the whole trip at the current prices. Ut gas is just not going down yet.

Gas prices are actually quite a bit cheaper in Nevada than Utah. We drove to Vegas two weekends ago and paid $3.90 a gallon in Vegas while gas in St. George was $4.35 a gallon. Now Im not sure what the cost of gas is in California but I imagine its probably around the $4.50+ range. Anyone in Cali to confirm exactly what the price is?

Well believe it or not it is under $4 a gallon up where I live in Northern California! :cool1: (What is scary is that I am actually excited about that! :confused3 )
The gas stations in our area are between $3.89 to $3.99 a gallon.
Not sure about Southern California. And of course the stations tend to charge more when they are right off an interstate.

Ok, I don't know where you get gas but at Costco two days ago (where I am in the wine country) it was $4.05! Wishing it was under $4! I even found myself saying the gas was ONLY $4.05, then I hit myself and thought how bad is that, to put the word ONLY with $4.05! Yikes!

I am in Brentwood (eastern Contra Costa County). Yes, being happy at "only" $4 a gallon is sad - but unfortunately true.

Not sure how many people in your family but flying is the only way to go saves time and money in gas you spend.

We fly jetblue into long beach 69 bucks each way delta has decent prices also into longbeach.

If you have a big family then driving would be the way to go that sucks.

Regular gas in So Cal right now is about $4.10 per gallon on the average. I just bought gas at Sams Club for $3.99, but the Chevron next to my work (Newport Beach) is $4.21 per gallon. I saw a Shell in Anaheim today at $4.11.

We found this to be the case as well. We are actually flying in October instead of driving because it was actually cheaper that way. Of course we booked our Jet Blue flights last April when they were way cheap. Im sure they have gone up in price by now.

My 2 kids and I are flying JetBlue ~ SLC to LGB in early Dec. I paid $380 for the 3 of us!!

I was wondering about trying to convince my hubby to take me for our anniversary/birthday at the end of August and wanted to come up with realistic numbers on how much it would cost. Delta has flights for $159 into SNA . . . so it would be about the same for two people to fly as it would to drive. :cool1:

We will definately be driving in December which is when our planned trip is.

I;m glad others gas prices have dropped already . . . I can't wait until ours do some more.

If it is about the same I would fly no questions asked it a no brainer

ya why are OURS so high gr.

We're flying. And when we drove to vegas the gas was at 3.20 in April (I refused to spend 3.50 in st george..ROFL.)

I always fly when I take a trip to Disneyland. But then I find a drive to Wendover is way to much for me ... LOL

Well I guess I don't need to worry about the gas prices cause I jsut booked air fare for two! I am in shock and I'm going to Disneyland on my birthday and anniversary!!!
