Anyone done very late MK EMH?

It was the best! By 12:30AM the park was almost empty. We walked into the Judges tent at 11:50 and we were the only ones there. Took lost of pics. The rides were empty everything was a walk on. My fav pic is on Main Street hanging on the clock at 3:00AM. If it is open till 3 go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:confused3 I have a question about EMH. I was looking at a calender for EMH's and saw that it said evening magic hours and said 9:00 am to 12 am(midnite) so does that mean its open for an extra three hours, or does that mean park closing time is at midnite :confused3 Thanks for any help you might have :goodvibes

We'll be there the 26th, too!!!!! There will be 15 of us. :cheer2: I just cannot wait!!! It will be so fun. We are getting in that morning, hope we can stay up until 3! ;)

So, the transportation runs up until closing time? past closing time? busses only? boats? monorails (both resort and epcot/mk monorails)?

This is causing us to plan a bit more now... Hum...

Last July we stayed for MK EMH on our last night. Our then TWO YEAR OLD!! didn't want to leave and we stayed til almost 3am!!!! Didn't get much driving done that night before finding a hotel LOL Oh well - the best laid plans... It was so worth seeing him in his glory just strutting around Fantasy Land all night. It was so wonderfully NOT crowded and NOT hot, which was a nice break from the July heat and crowds. Plus we had a magical moment. Another youngster about his age walked RIGHT into one of Dumbo's ears on on the Dumbo ride :guilty: and my little man immediately gave him his glow necklaces to try and cheer him up. Warmed my heart!

I'm a night guy, and me and my crew LOVED the 2 or 3am emh or whatever they called it back in the day. So cool walking alone in the dark at the park.

Stunk getting up the next day at 7:30am. lol

The 26th is one of our last days in the parks, so hopefully we'll all have enough energy to stay out till three, if not, i'll definitely be there riding SM till they have to pull me off! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi Monkey Guy
I'm afraid I don't know how to post links but if you go to Disneys website and click on park hours, each calendar for each park will show which days have EMH. If you click on one of the days, it brings up the list for all the parks for every month. It will tell you which days have EMH for which parks. It can vary.

Maybe someone with better posting skills can help us out. ;)

thanks wismom for the useful info !

As others report the very late EMH are the best pixiedust: .We too have had ride operator cast members begging us to ride, characters begging us to play and get autographs and stayed on Splash 3 times in a row!!! It is awesome especially the last hour. Don't miss it.

Late EMH is an absolute must for us! We love it. Did it on Christmas Day this year and it was the absolute highlight of the trip. We are planning to do it again May 26! Anyone with us?

I'm with you! We'll be there from 24 to 28 of may. I'm looking forward to EMH PM at MGM - TOT til 2 or 3 AM!!!!! These late EMH are the biggest reason why I planned the trip for those exact dates :cool1:

If the offical closing time is say midnight. Thenthe extra magic hours are midnight to 3 am. The buses / tranportation will run 1 hour after the magic hour close time. So, you will be able to catch a bus until 4am. I would reccomend staying, we did it last May and we had MK to ourselves. It was so cool and alittle eerie walking down Main Street at night and being by ourselves. Besides, PLANNING is 1/2 the fun! :thumbsup2

Wow!! All the feedback is so positive, now I am excited and really looking forward to this. It sounds like so much fun. I kept reading how evening EMH is so crowded but that must be earlier in the evening.

Now . . . let's just keep this a secret so it doesn't get crowded, ok? ;)
Thanks everyone!!

We are going to WDW Dec. 17-28. We are planning to stay for EMH at MK one time. DD (9 by the time we go) wants to do it just to see if she can stay awake. For us, it's one of those things that you have to try at least once just to say you did it. Does anyone know what shops and restaurants or snack stands will remain open?

Does anyone know where the wristbands are handed out in the MK ? We'll be there on Sun.,May 28.

We are thinking about going that night. Our kids are only 6 and 8 so I think I'd get a stroller. We'll see how things go. We are not going into the parks at all Sat and Sun and our only plan is the pool, DTD, and dinner!!

We did the late night hours with out girls last June. They were 4 and 6. We went back to the resort for a little nap. We walked around all night. It was so much fun. I do remember some of the snack places being open. I thought it was really neat seeing the MK so late at night and all lit up. We got our wristbands from the guest services building right on main street( next to the Disney Emporium, if I recall correctly) .

Those of you who have gone to the late EMH at MK, do you remember if they were Friday nights or perhaps a Sunday night? We will be there during the 4th of July week and there will be late EMH both on Friday night or Sunday (our last night there). I would imagine a Friday could be busier than a Sunday, not sure. Any thoughts? I really had not planned to do any late EMH myself because I too always read how crowded they are but thanks to this thread :sunny: ;) , I am reconsidering it. Thanks Wismom!!

Hi DisGirl
According to Disneys website, July 7 (Friday) and July 9 (Sunday) have evening EMH. The parks normal closing time is 11pm. I thought that was interesting since we will be there over Fathers Day. June 16th, Friday, the parks normal closing time is 12pm. Guess June will be crowded.

I guess Father's Day is a special day for people to visit the parks so they will be open until 12:00. That sounds fun, being there then. Have fun and hopefully you will post back at how your experience was. Thanks and have a wonderful trip!! I am not sure if we should try for the Friday or Sunday.

I have never done the EMH, but plan to on our up coming trip. DW is concerned that being out that late would interfere with our plans the following days. But I think I have convinced her that we should try it . We've been to Disney many times and always skip the extra hours, whether morning or evening, but I wanted to try it one time.
