Anyone done very late MK EMH?

What time do they start handing out the wristbands? I read somewhere that it was 2 hours before EMH began and am trying to plan around that.

I did it in January. It was open until three am. My son (who is 7) wanted to stay late. I started getting tired around 1:30, but he wouldn 't leave. We left around 2:50am and walked back to the Contemporary. It was a lot of fun. We slept til close to 1:00 the next day!! It was worth it though, there was hardly anyone there!!

Just saw the question about the wristbands. There are several places where CM's are set up. We got ours in Liberty Square, at the Riverboat entrance right after the Spectromagic parade. Just give them your room card, they swipe it to make sure that you are a guest and give you a wristband. They usually set up about 2-3 hours before EMH.

I am just checking... You can get wrist bands up to what point? For example, if the park closes at 11:00 pm., do you have to get them before 11:00 inorder to get in for the extra hours? I realize they start giving them out about 2 hours before the park officially closes to the general public, but can you still get them later? Thanks so much!

Those of you who have gone to the late EMH at MK, do you remember if they were Friday nights or perhaps a Sunday night? We will be there during the 4th of July week and there will be late EMH both on Friday night or Sunday (our last night there). I would imagine a Friday could be busier than a Sunday, not sure. Any thoughts? I really had not planned to do any late EMH myself because I too always read how crowded they are but thanks to this thread , I am reconsidering it. Thanks Wismom!!

Our last night there that I was discussing earlier in the thread was a Friday night. It wasn't DEAD but it was 100x better than the daytime. HTH

Thanks Jenr812. Since you went around the same dates we will be there this year, that def. helps. Thanks. I guess if we had to go Friday it would be ok. Right now we do not have set plans for Saturday so I thought maybe we could stay up late on Friday and sleep in Sat.

I'm thinking about doing this on June 23rd at midnight. Is that when you will be going?

Our only "problem" with staying out so late is we'll be boarding the Disney Magic the next day and have to get up in time for our ride! But wouldn't that be a blast the night before cruising...hmmm...have to think about this.

Have fun on the Magic. We will be sailing Sept 16-23rd. We haven't decided if we will do the parks before we sail or not. We are definitely going to be at WDW for Christmas, and plan to do one of the extremely late EMH. We are waiting for Dec. hours to be release to plan each day out, but we know that we will plan a day away from the parks for the day after EMH. We will probably sleep in and then do DTD or visit some of the other resorts to see the Christmas decorations.
