Anyone done the room tax route recently?

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice christmas. I'm itching to book our next DLP trip but impatiently waiting for my dad's holidays to be approved at work. Grr!
Anyway, the plan is 3 nights in Sequoia Lodge in early June - my parents, my sister and myself - all in one room haha - fallouts are expected. Hoping to book for the 3 of them as I am *finally!* getting an annual pass and planning to pay the room taxes on arrival.
I haven't seen any posts about this recently, has anyone done it?

We did it at the DCR this Chrismas. As is often the case, the 1st person checking us in was a little confused, but after she clarified things with a colleague there was no problem at all.

I stayed at the Cheyenne in November. I told the CM at check-in that there would be two extra guests staying room only and he just said ok and didn't ask me to pay any extra.

Thanks for your responses folks, I'm really glad this works! It kind of seems too good to be true, although of course we will be paying a reasonable sum for the others in the room, and for annual passes.

I was given a seperate pass for my guests for breakfast, swimming pool use, etc.

I think I paid 2 euros per adult per night which included breakfast at the Santa Fe in October. It was less than I thought! I rang the hotel about a week before arrival to let them know we were doing this.

Have decided to get an annual pass for my sister too, don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. It will save over £100 - plus we will then have an excuse for an extra couple of trips

Haha i already said this to my mum but she just said "nice try" - she did say maybe we could splash out a bit more on meals whilst there though. (I'm paying my own way but she's paying for herself, my dad and my sister as both of their birthday presents. It will be my dad's 64th birthday during the trip!)
I need to get some tickers.
My cousin is getting married in Toulouse in September - we need to get there via London or Paris, so naturally I'll be travelling via Paris aka Disneyland! Just need to see how many cousins want to come with me - hopefully I'll have not one but two tickers very soon.

Yep, no problems whatsoever. I also got an early check-in (9am!) so it was a great start to the holiday!

Did it on Tuesday at Sequoia Lodge with no problems

I phoned the week before to check too & the lady on the phone was cool about it, just explained the local tax you had to pay.

I think it was €1.10 per night. We also had to pay this the first night at the Kyriad.

We had one Easypass between us for breakfast etc, but I had my own hotel room key.

I am very envious of your trip.

The room only rates aren't always that good.

I'm pricing up a 2 night trip for the end of the month for me, my girlfriend, my son and daughter. I have an annual pass but the rest don't (though daughter doesn't need a ticket due to age).

I've found room only rates of around £75 per night for the Cheyenne. Tickets for my son and girlfriend would be £200ish. So £350 in total.

I can get 2 nights through Disney for £180 (1 adult + 1 child). This will give me a park tickets for my son and daughter. Booking the package and adding me and my daughter on arrival would save us around £170.

I did the same on a recent trip with my 2 sisters and saved a similar amount. If all travellers had an AP room only might be the better option (if you can get a good rate).
