We did it on Friday Dec 10th and LOVED it! I got the 1/2 price tickets - so it was a good deal. The food was ok, nothing fancy, but DH & DS enjoyed the chicken which was plain, but good.
We did not arrive as early as the website suggested, probably got there about 20 minutes before the show - just enough time to get my DS's face painted and check out the "museum" we took some funny pictures in there - I am going to try and add one to my signature line - but dont know if it will work. Since my DS actually believes he is a pirate, it really was the perfect event for us. Also, it was not a sold out crowd, so, there was lots of interaction with the actors as well. We were seated in the Green section -which was one of the first ones seated so our waiting was really a minimum. The show moved quickly with lots of acrobatics and fighting. My DH & DS have decided that we will definately attend next year as well. Oh, and for you ladies -eye candy - who doesnt love men in tights?? LOL.
We paid the xtra $15 for the VIP seating upgrade and that was well worth it. I got to be in the show and so did my DS3 - it was the high point of his life. He was chosen to be sworn in as a pirate, and as the littlest guy up there, he stood in the front of the group of kids and had everone in stiches. He also had a short conversation with the Captain prior to leaving the ship. He has not stopped talking about it since we got home.
The rest of the show was pretty good, I did not notice the musty water smell that was mentioned in some of the other posts, service was fast, bathrooms were clean, it is a bit loud, but thats what we expected with cannon fire nearby.
We had a great time, and will do it again next year!
