Planning a trip to GF with my 3 year old princess addict and came across this option. Pretty expensive and I was wondering if anyone else out there had done it and had a review. Thanks. MOPPY princess:

If you do a search on Restaurants you will see some reviews.

I am also contemplating taking my 3yo princess.

I've never done it but a friend did and she said it was worth every penny. She even mentioned the food wasn't that great. But she said the look on her daughters face was well worth the price.

Check out www.allearsnet.com/din/girlstea.htm

They have some great feedback.

If you do a search there are lots of posts and pictures about this event. My dd7 and I just did this in June. If was very special and I'm glad we did it, but we probably won't do it again. The whole thing lasts about 1.5 hours, so if you thing your 3 yr old can sit through the event, you may want to try it now. Have a great trip. :earsgirl:

I took my 8-year-old DD to this in Decmber and am soooo happy that I did. It was beautifully done and very special!
Make sure to have your DD wear a costume - it really adds to the MAGIC (my daughter wore her Snow White costume- there were lots of Sleeping Beautys and Cinderellas) the entertainment and food are very nice. It's expensive but it's for the two of you and your daughter gets an American Girl-type doll and a tiara and time with Sleeping Beauty and the yummy tea service. It's great! Highly recommended ::yes::

My DD and I did it in June 2004. It was such a wonderful time!! Everyone said I was crazy for spending $200 dollars on a tea party. My DD had a wonderful time. Each girl recieved personal attention with Aurora and Rose Petal. It was all about memories and this one was wonderful! My DD still talks about it!!!

I took my DD for her 5th birthday in May. We had a wonderful time as well, and I agree that it was worth the cost, especially when I justified it as being her "big" birthday gift. Just yesterday, I overheard DD telling her playmate the story of Rose Petal, so I know it made a huge impression.

Most princesses there the day we went were 4-6 years old. A 3-year-old would enjoy it if she is not too shy to do things with Rose Petal, Aurora, and the other girls while Mommy (or Daddy/Auntie/Grandma/whoever!) stays at the table eating, drinking, and taking pictures. When she first turned 3, my DD might have been a little too nervous and clingy to leave me and fully participate, but she probably would have been fine just a few months later. Your 3-year-old may vary. I'd use her participation in birthday parties as a gauge. For a while, DD would stay by my side at her friends' parties, but as she grew closer to 4, she would join in the games and activities with the other kids.

But then again, I'd imagine that a girl who just sits on the sidelines with Mommy would probably still have a very good time -- I know I did!

I went last Thanksgiving with my two daughters. They were 8 and 5 at the time. My older daughter was worried about being too old to enjoy it-she almost didn't go, but she ended up REALLY ENJOYING it! She was so happy she went.

My 5 yr old got a bit squirrelly 1/2 way through and would have preferred to be playing with her princess Polly Pockets about that time. She made it, but I really think she was a bit young. She is a spunky one, though. Likes to move and play & have FUN!

I REALLY LOVED it. I thought I would snooze thru it and just suffer it out for my girls, but I enjoyed it - probably more than either of them.

The other thing is the gifts the girls take home are really geared toward the 6 and under crowd.

You know your daughter and what she could sit through.

The food was not great. The girls got finger sandwiches and apple juice, some fruit and cake. I got crackers, cheese, and grapes & cake. I could have eaten lunch after the party!

It was a lot of fun. Beautifully done and entertaining (for most!)

Happy planning -

We did the Princess Tea Party in Jan, my DD (3.5yrs), my husband and myself and it was well worth it. The princess cake was off the hook. I didn't enjoy the food that much but my husband did. My daughter absolutely loved it, and we'll be doing it again.
