We ae looking at all the Port Adventures in Jamaica for our upcoming cruise and this one sounds kind of fun. Has anyone participated in this? Tell me all about it. Did you like it? Is it safe?

We did this 2 years ago with 2 - 10 year olds and had a blast! I was in the first car and controlled the speed and my son was in the second car which is attached to the first. (The cars look like the one from Space Mountain). My daughter went with my husband...they flew down the mountain and we took our time...we were a little more cautious. You get to the top of the mountain via a ski lift. We did this as a combo tour with Dunn's River Falls and did the excursion thru DCL. It is an hour ride from Falmouth to the other side of the island to get to Mystic Mt. This was an awesome excursion and a FUN memorable time. We all felt safe on the bobsleds

Which one? The Tranopy Adventure or the Bobsleds with Dunn's River Falls?

2 words DO IT!!!!!!. Did it combined with Dunn River Falls and had a blast!!!!

Is there a package where we can do the bobsleds and zipline? If so, is there enough time for both?

After you finish the bobsled do you go back on the ski lift? That's the only part that I didn't understand in the description.. It sounded like we would have pool time after.

We rode the ski lift to the top, zip lined half way down, took the lift all the way back down, but didn't get of, and went all the way back up. After that, it was do in the order you want. We had lunch, then did bobsledding, could have swam but we shopped a little and watched the dancers. There was about an hour to kill after we did bobsleds before we headed back down the mountain on the lift.

When we were there in 2014, there were 2 lines for the bobsleds. The line on the right was for people who bought bobsled tickets only. The line on the left was like a fastpass line for those who bought the Tranopy adventure excursion. It may be different now, but that was our experience.

This was one of our favorite excursions ever!!

Thanks! I can not wait til my son can go zip lining!! I looked in to outside companies and he is the minimum age..will be 6, DCL is 8, but unfortunately he doesn't fit the weight requirement yet. :(.
My planned excursions are this-
Cozumel- tulum ruins. (Although I'm second guessing this because of travel time)
Grand Cayman - outside company for stingray city/star fish beach/ reef snorkel.
Falmouth- bobsled/dunn river falls
Castaway cay- bikes and beach day.
Any must dos for a 6 year old that you recommend?

On the Tulum Ruins, as adults, we found it was a lot of travel time in the bus (although the boat ride was fun!). I enjoyed the excursion - but wouldn't do it again. Our guide at the ruins was hard to hear, so we ended up just wandering about. Oh, and the included lunch was Subway eaten on the bus...

That's exactly what I'm worried about. I'm anticipating hearing "Are we there yet?" at least 84x, at minimum ;)
I think I'll change up the Cozumel excursion. Nearly everything that I think he would enjoy is a minimum age of 8. I don't want to do a beach break at any port besides Castaway Cay.

I considered a dolphin swin at Dolphinaris- but that's something we can do anytime when visit SoFla or the Bahamas. I would like to try to do a unique, locally focused excursion at each port.
