We were planning to book the Atlantis Aquaventure excursion through DCL and were wondering if anyone has had recent experience? I was wondering if the waivers and wrist bands are provided prior to leaving the ship? Just saw a review that a passenger on Carnival had to bring their tickets to a very busy booth at Atlantis to get their wristbands and hoping DCL has a different procedure.

Does the Comfort Suites room booking still get you into Atlantis? Have you thought of that?

Your description of the procedure sounds familiar from years ago. I picture the locker room and an attendant handing out stuff - very possibly wrist bands. Not that it took long, but done in a somewhat systematic way. All this after being lead from the entrance of the resort through the grounds. A 5-10 minute walk from the bus. And then a fun day.

Hopping on your thread, hope it's OK. We reserved the swim in wonder/Aquaventure excursion. Time states 9:45, duration 6 hr. Anyone here done this?

What's the procedure for getting there, do you gather on board at a certain time, then go as a group on transport? What time do you usually get to Atlantis? We plan to hopefully go as early as possible.

We plan to stay most of the day, but we also have first dining MDR, and 3 girls to shower/dress, so probably need to be back on board by around 4. Does a shuttle run throughout the day? If so what time should we start for the pick up point( I'm a slow walker)

We are going in August on the Wish. Trying to set expectations for my granddaughter and niece about how much we can do in our limited time; not sure how much waiting in lines you do for the slides and activities. Is a swimsuit with coverup OK on transport? Do most people change there?

First cruise ever, first time in Nassau...totally clueless. We are sailing in a consierge stateroom if that changes anything ( I figured I'd need the extra help)

You can always just grab a taxi back, around $5 pp. we’ve done atlantis twice,I think on DCL we just booked a room at the comfort suites ext door to save money, but that’s not always an option. The second time was with NCL (happened to be the cheapest option), took the shuttle there (I think just a line of large taxi vans), taxi back. It’s big, it will be hot, have a plan (we found chairs by a main part of the not lazy River, lockers there too). Bring water! Hopefully everyone is tall enough, lines do get long, the River will actually bring you in a tube to some of the big slides. If you get there and a guide is giving a tour, skip it, time waster.

Excursion time length includes transportation time. So that will not be 6 hours at Atlantis.

You will gather at a designated place - usually on the ship. I have met on the pier. Bring the tickets they leave in your room.

Definitely come dressed for action. Faster to the fun.

Our last trip to Atlantis, we were in small Tourist buses - probably held about 20 people, but not your standard van. It just depends on what the tour company has.

We had one return time. Everyone was tired.

The distance is not far; a couple of miles. Then you walk the pier to the shop. Maybe 10 minute walk to the van. 15 minutes drive. 10 minutes to the ship.

You should have time to shower and dress everyone.

Look at your excursion details to see if locker and lunch are included. I know we had a locker, but may have opted to pay extra for it. Just piece of mind.

Has anyone done the comfort suite hack of booking a room there the day your cruise is in port and go into Atlantis? I called comfort suites and they do not need a passport to check in only a picture ID. They would not tell me if I could get a wrist band for Atlantis that morning or not. They were very cryptic saying check in is at 3 pm and I would find out that morning if I could go to Atlantis earlier ….Ug

I just saw that on the website this week + it seems like there are a lot of room upcharges that aren't included in the base price (cleaning fees?) - I think I'm just going to suck it up and pay the higher price in order not to risk being unable to get bands on the day we arrive. :-(
