Thinking about doing a spring trip but not enough points now that I'm traveling in higher seasons.

Was considering trying a Poly studio (if, of course, I could get one) for Sat. and Sun, then switching to a 1 bedroom for 5 nights VGF (if, of course I could it it!)

Anyone done this mixture? We've not stayed at either resort. I thought it might be fun to be on the monorail for a change.

I haven't done that specific stay but we have done one at those resorts with the 2br villas. It's definitely an easy move to make but since you can easily walk between the resorts you can enjoy both if you are staying at one the entire time also.

Yes I did this two weeks ago and then took a cruise. I was in a Poly LV studio and then moved to GFV 2 bedrooms and then a cruise.

I was just me for the Poly Studio and then I met my mom who was already checked in at GFVs. I had one rolling suitcase and a bag. Since my mom was already at GFVs My room was ready so I had planned on walking over with my suitcase, although I cld have walked to TTC and got on monorail but wanted to walk. As I was walking, the boat for Poly, GF and MK came and I ended up getting on that since never took the boat before lol

I didnt want Disney to take my luggage since my room was ready wanted to unpack and not wait for my luggage.

I have done the split, and carried my own luggage (both from Poly to Grand, and Grand to Poly). It's quite easy! I love staying at both resorts for different reasons. I like the Poly studios much better than the Grand studios, but the larger Grand units are fabulous.

That said, my splits are normally more spread out, to take advantage of proximity to different attractions. But the Poly and Grand resorts are 2 of my all-time favorites, and they are different enough that it's sometimes worth staying at both on the same trip, especially if you have reason to want both a studio and a larger unit on one trip.

Gosh, I need to look at a map. I didn't realize they were close enough to walk to the other one.

Absolutely. The Poly does not have a gym and I walked to the Grand Floridian to use their gym. It is also Extremely close to TTC, especially if you are in a
LV Studio room at Morea.
