Anyone doing the Wine & Dine Half Marathon??

I'm seriously considering this race, but maybe either the 5K or the relay. Does anyone know how registration looks right now? How close to capacity are the races?

Neither the Half, the Half Relay or the 5K have a percentage listed by them, which I believe that means they are at less than 50% capacity.

Cool...Thanks Todd!

That is what it means for the January weekend so I am assuming it is the same for this one.

In the midst of planning our yearly "girls weekend at F&WF" I discovered this run. Believe it or not our group has GROWN because of everyone hearing about the run and wanting to join in! If nothing else, it has inspired a lot of moms to set a fitness goal!!!

I'm registered and can't wait to see everyone there. This is my first Disney running event - who am I kidding - this is my first running event in about 15 years!! I get a big smile each time I'm on the treadmill imagining that final part of the run into EPCOT!!!!

Very fun that your group has GROWN because of the run. Hope we meet over the weekend.

That is so awesome! I am also a Mommy that has used this race (and a trip to Disney) as a fitness goal. The little local 5Ks this spring & summer will be fun, but this is the big prize that keeps me going!

A BIG FAT Ditto there! 8 months post baby, and I am sooooo ready to meet this goal...well, mentally...still working on the physical part! I am really thinking about doing the Princess half (no relay tho:eek:) in March 2011 when we get off the Dream:cloud9:! Training in the middle of a Colorado winter just doesn't sound fun, but I reckon it can be done!

Come join us Aaron! It should be a great weekend.

Hey - new to the boards here.

Anyway, I am planning to run the Wine and Dine half. Glad to see people are already talking about it. I have done the Tower of Terror 13K the last two years. Looks like I have to step it up a little now. Looking forward to it though.

My Father and I signed up for the half marathon. I needed the motivation to get back into shape and it gave me an excuse to be down at disney during the Food and Wine Festival!

Welcome! Look forward to meeting new folks and having a GREAT weekend!!!

So I have a silly/odd/weird question about the 5K:

I assume that you would be able to have you photo taken with characters along the course. Would they do a quick autograph, too? Or is that too much to ask?

I'm doing the 5k and heading for the party that night!! :cool1:

I'm soooo looking forward to doing this half, especially with so many dissers hopping aboard. :goodvibes

I don't know for sure, but I don't see why the characters wouldn't do an autograph. I took pictures with characters, but didn't even think of getting an autograph. Doh!

We're finally having sunshine here, so I'm looking forward to some outside training. Yay!!!

I'm not sure that I would want to tote something around for 13.1 miles, but the 5K I could handle...especially if I were in costume....hmmm :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin

I am now registered for the half. All I need now is a flight down. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in October. I also signed up to volunteer at a local MS walk for my give a day get a day which is what I will be using for park admission on the trip.

I so wish I could reschedule our trip to have the race be the first day or so that we get there. We are in Cleveland right now for my grandpa's funeral, and I was able to get in a couple of runs in on the treadmill. Man, the first one was awesome! Longest distance and fastest pace yet, thanks to being at sea level! It was short lived however, and I was hoofing it after a few days here:upsidedow Oh well!

Welcome to Cleveland, though I wish it were under better circumstances. If you are looking for a nice place to get an outdoor run in check out the Metroparks.
