Anyone do theme cruises?

We've cruised twice with DCL before, but are going in March on a theme cruise on Carnival.

It's called The Rock Boat, and it's essentially a huge floating 4-day music festival.

There's 20 bands and they will be doing concerts pretty much all over the ship non-stop, except while we're docked in Cozumel. There's not too many big names on board, but we love several of the bands and have came to love several others while checking out their music after finding out they will be on the boat with us.

I'm wondering is any fellow DCL cruisers have ever done anything like this before and what you thought of it?

Obviously it won't be Disney, but I think it's going to be a blast anyway.

If it's the kind of music you enjoy, go for it. We sailed with the New Christy Minstrels (folk singers) a few years ago on RCCL and really enjoyed it. They gave private seminars, ate dinner with the fans (one minstrel per table of groupies) and we had preferred seating at several onboard concerts.
