I'm just wondering if we're fools to consider it. Still dithering between plain old Universal tickets and the flexpass...Flexpass gets us Aquatica and Wet n Wild, in addition to SeaWorld and the two Universal parks. Kids are 7 and 10, love to swim and play in pools, and we've never been to any water park. (No, we're not considering the Disney parks even though I've heard wonderful things about BB. We're not buying Disney tickets this time.) But we're also renting a villa with our own pool, so they won't be starved for chlorine-soaked fun.

We usually go if it's warm enough. We check the weather channel and pick one of the warmest, sunniest days with no wind and go. Last year we didn't go cause it was cold every day.
I've still got waterpark tickets left and plan to go to Typhoon if we get any warm days this year. That doesn't help you figure out whether to get the waterpark tickets now though. :)

We did Aquatica last year on one of the only sunny days at the high was about 70. Had to go as we had the pass for the week and it expired. We loved it. It was chilly out of the water but we brought lots of towels and sweats. Water is heated. Best part is it was dead. No lines at all.

fYI - I just saw it will hit 79 this week so you may get some great weather. I say gofor it. The waterparks are wonderful (although I do prefer the Disney ones over Aquatica).

I'm with you, we already got our FlexPasses. The weather looks like over a two week stay, there will be at least 2 or 3 days warm enough for Aquatica or WnW, maybe more. We're keeping our schedule flexible. If it's a warm day, we're going to the water parks; if not, parks, shopping and other things.

Check accuweather. They have the forecast 15 days out. (BTW, I'm also watching the Halifax and Montreal weather, hoping it won't interfere with our flights).

OMG Brad, LOOK at those countdown tickers! I can't believe they're actually forecasting for our days there now. (High of 69 our first full day, but still.)

Yeah, we're pretty hardy. At this point it almost seems like we have too much to do. Last time we went we had a week at WDW and full-on parks. This time we want more slack time. Oh, what a terrible dilemma! ;)

In 2008, we did 10th days of Disney and felt rushed. This time we have 15 days and plan to take our time. I love to take my time and enjoy the details. Rushing through a theme park makes as much sense as rushing through a museum or art gallery. Would anyone try to 'do' or 'get through' the Louvre in a day? I shouldn't compare the Louvre, but it exaggerates my point.

Note to self:

Next time don't do the Louvre in a day! :sad2: Been there ... rushed that ...

Can't believe we'll be flying out of coooold, snowy Alberta in 5 days!! :cool1:
I sure hope we are blessed with good weather!

I remember for our first trip, mid-late January 2008 (over MLK weekend) we where blessed with amazing weather! We went to Typhoon Lagoon one of our days and it was actually one of our BEST days of our trip! Almost had the park to ourselves.....no fighting for chairs or prime seating!
We had so much fun, and it was lovely and warm.....probably in the mid 70's that day.

I highly recommend Typhoon Lagoon if you can get there....so much fun!
We are staying at BC for our Disney portion of our trip, so I hope some of the days are nice, swimming weather.....but we are hardy Canadians, so we can pretty much swim when others would be in winter coats! :rotfl:

We will be checking out Universal Studios for the first time as well....staying at HRH, looking forward to trying out that pool! I don't know about those rides my son wants to drag me on (Hulk, RRR, DD, FJ) but the POOL!! AHHHHH, that I can go for anytime!!

Here's hoping FEB is wonderful for all of us! :lovestruc

PS ETA: I see you aren't doing Disney Parks this time....so disregard my Typhoon Lagoon recomendation!! LOL...or file it away for another time! ;) Regardless, I think you should hopefully get a nice day to do some water park activities!
