Anyone do FP+ for Festival of Fantasy Parade?

My FP+ booking window is fast approaching, and with two days being spent at MK I was contemplating using a FP for the new parade. Can anyone give me any info on it? Where is it? How early did you have to get to your spot? Is it truly worth it in your opinion?

I had gotten a FP+ for the parade, but didn't use it. The area they use is right across from the castle. The day I had the FP for, it was hot and sunny and the area is in direct sunlight. I went down by the train station to find some shade to watch it.

If you're going during a busy time and it's important to you to have a good spot, then it would be worth it. With the parade being new, it's going to be crowded for a while so you have to grab a spot early. I'm not positive, but they probably open up the area about 30-45 minutes before the parade.

We got FP+ for the parade on June 30th so I'm looking forward to seeing responses as well.

yes! We saw the parade 3 times in May and had FP+ for 2 of them. Loved the parade!

The area is in direct sunlight but it is not crowded and if you stand in the right spot you can get your parade pictures with the castle in the background which is really nice!

I seem to recall the FP times as saying 2:45 - 3:05. We arrived on the early end each time (remember the parade is starting in Frontierland so it isn't at the castle until around 3:15 as I recall).

The entrance to the area (it is roped off) is near the pathway to Merida/ Cosmic Rays/ Tea Cups on that side of the 'island' - you have to go in a specific entrance - they'll scan your bands there and then you can pick your parade spot.

Do you know, if my third FP+ is for the parade, and we choose not to use it at the last minute, am I able to make another FP+ once the parade start time has passed?

If you decide not to use the FP for the parade, you can re-schedule your 3rd FP for something else (as soon as you decide not to use it). I'm not sure how it works for the 4th FP when you skip an attraction. I would guess it is after the time period lapses.

We just did FP+ for FoFP last Thursday & loved it! It is in the sun, but the view & photos with castle is sooo worth it. We arrived around 2:20pm, they lets us enter around 2:35pm, pre-shows started around 2:45pm, actual parade around 3:15. Plenty of space.

FWIW a family across from us had arrived around 2:10pm for front row access. By the time the pre-shows started & the parade was in route, the poor family had been pushed together & were in 3 rows after everyone who did not want to get there early came down the castle ramp. It was disheartening to see adults do that to someone, especially a family with 6 kids.

So for peace of mind, space, & not wasting time for a good spot, FP+ is worth it. After FoF we booked our 4th FP+with no problem. Only SDMT & Elsa/Anna not available which we knew, & most had times immediately available.
