Anyone do Field Agent App?

It's odd seeing all these people with positive feedback, and would highly suggest reading the reviews in the Apple app store.

The company is ripping people off, finding reasons to disqualify jobs that were completed 100%. If you're a new user, they will approve the first few to give you reassurance and then will start disapproving most of them.

I would post links but I don't have 10 posts here and probably won't be back since I'm just here to let others know this is a shady operation.

You can just google "field agent ripoff" and visit their support forums where theres more of the same type of stuff like people not getting paid, etc.

I wasted hours doing the work, not to mention gas, and have not gotten a dime from them so I would delete the app and find something else that isn't blatantly
ripping people off.

I think it's pretty harsh to say that they are just ripping people off. I think that most of the time, the one star reviews are from people that don't pay attention to the small details of the job.

I joined FA within a month of the app being available. I have only had two jobs denied... Both for my own fault for not reading the directions carefully. I have had plenty of $10 jobs and have never ever ever had a problem with being paid. They still approve my jobs despite me using the app now for 2+ years. I just had one paid this week. Not to mention I have made close to $1000 just by using it when I would happen to be out shopping anyway.

And no I don't work for FA, but people automatically being rude is why I hardly ever post here.... Despite loving Disney I get tired of all the nasty attitudes on his board... Could it not be that maybe, just maybe, someone came across the thread by good ol google and decided that would add info to a topic they know about? Sheesh! Not everyone is a troll!

Hi everybody:). I'm new here, but ummm...not a troll???

Wow! It was my first post...totally not a troll...don't work for field agent either...but that was a nice warm reception for a newcomer???? I have honestly had zero problems other than that one time. And there was one time the app sent me to a location for maybe a Dollar General and there was no dollar general....again, mentioned this in the question/comment area at the end and they even paid me for that job-just took a pic of the stores that were there. I also do viggle which is ok, but seen it's better days, and wikets and just started wereward a couple weeks ago...all good so far. Got all these suggestions while lurking here.

What is the exact name of the app? When I put in Field Agent I get 7 choices, but none of them with that name... A few with real estate?? Help appreciated!

To those of you newcomers put off by the rudeness, I'm sorry. If it helps, I find that the budget board can be one of the rudest boards on the dis-don't judge all of us by the reception. You got here :).

Bolding is mine. You have 2 posts. Hardly ever post is a rather large understatement. You have no information about Disney? Nothing helpful or supportive or informative to say ever?? This is the one topic you thought you'd jump on into? While not everyone is a troll, people who post in this manner tend to be suspect. If you aren't a troll then accept my apologies.

I don't think the person who posted that the app is flat out a rip off is correct but they have been know to rip large groups of ppl off over certain assignments. It's not opinion, it's fact. But that also doesn't mean they are totally dishonest either.

There is middle ground with FA. Don't go out of your way in the hopes of a large payoff but do the convenient jobs and follow the directions very very carefully and you should be fine.

Ditto to that comment.

But to address the OP's comment:

I have been a FA user for about a year and have made a little over $200. I don't go out of my way to do a job for $4, but if I can make a close route with several jobs, and I have some free time, I'll do that every once in a while. There are supposed to be a lot of demo jobs today, so I'm hoping to make a route because demo jobs can sometimes pay a little more.

I also use an app called Viggle, where you "check in" to a show you are watching on tv by allowing your phone to listen for a few seconds. After you are checked in, you earn points for the rest of the show. Points can be used to purchase gift cards for various retailers. They do sell out of gift cards fairly quickly (like Target, Best Buy and Amazon), but that just forces me to save more points. They will also give you bonus points for checking into certain shows, which they highlight in their app. Another way to earn extra points is to participate in Viggle Live, which is like a live trivia game during particular show. They did that a lot during the Olympics and I racked up quite a few points that way.

A third app that I just started using is called Wikets. This app is designed to boost sales for certain websites, like Amazon. You recommend products you like or use and earn points. If someone agrees or likes your "rec", they can "re-rec" it, and you can earn points that way. Or, if you want to purchase an item that someone has "reced", you earn points. Similarly, if someone purchases something you have reced, you earn points. Once you have enough points, you exchange for gift cards. They do have a limit on how many points you can earn each day, but if you are an active participant and write really nice recs, they may raise your limit.

I would also like to add that there are many people that are quick to jump and write a negative review for apps. I have only had one job turned down for FA, and it was my first job. I didn't fully read and understand the directions when I did it, so I deserved to have the job turned down.

I was upset at first, and thought about writing a negative review and giving up on using the app again. I didn't do that, but many other people might have. Just keep that in mind when reading the negative reviews.

Interesting read. For those of you that do this, is it a pain in the rear at income tax? I am assuming that you have to pay in for Social Security like self employed? Thanks

I didn't have to pay in SS but it was a giant PITA to fill out tax forms and it jumped our taxed owed by $100. So by doing over $600 worth of jobs (the amount that triggers a tax form), cost us $100 in taxes. LOL
