Time for my 6 year old to make a wish.:goodvibes Has anyone done the Disney Cruise? How did you like it. I guess there are characters on board? What other kind of fun stuff is on board?

She would also like to stay at the "spongebob hotel" (Nicke Hotel)

Can you share your wishes with me? Thanks!

Good luck... we tried and DD9 was ineligible because she is non verbal. I have seen several families on the Dc and they seemed to have a GREAT! time.

The DCL cruise is wonderful - we did our first one last Oct. '07 (not through Make a Wish - just a regular cruise).

We did a 7 night Western. The kid's clubs are great and they have a different activity every hour or two. They have crafts and do fun things like make Flubber. The characters come to the club to tell stories and meet the kids too.

The evening shows on the big stage are also geared towards children - are for the whole family to enjoy.

Of course the kids love the pool. And there are some nice excursions. There is pin trading on board and other family activities. You might pop over to the DCL board and look for some of the current Navigators. That will give you an idea about what activities are going on for the 6yr old age group in the kids clubs and for the family.

Are you talking about asking to go on the DC with the make a wish foundation?
We are going on the cruise out of LA at the end of May over to Mexico. I have done a lot of research and found that it would be a PERFECT cruise for my 6 year old and my 4 year old. There are lot of characters on board and many activities that are free for kids from 9am-12am and you can let the children participate and they give you a pager system and you can go off and relax. My son is delayed in speech and physical and will be having heart surgery at the end of the month and they are very helpful on the cruise by telling me that they will assist my childs needs in anyway when we go. I think the cruise will be fun.
