Anyone do a recent PPO breakfast from the Poly?

We are staying at the poly next week and the only time we could get cinderellas castle was at 8am and the park opens at 9. When I have done this before (twice), it had been a nightmare and I swore I would never do it again. No one had a clear answer as to what mod of transportation would be running and it has always taken us over an hour to get there and everyone is so crabby/hungry by the time we do, it just isn't worth it. Last time we were at the Poly we were told the resort boat wouldn't be running, we left our room and saw the boat leaving. We were told by front desk monorail would be running at the hotel and it wasn't. So we did a bus and said it would be 5 min, but it never showed for over 30 min. We didn't try the TTC for a PPO so maybe that is what we need to do, but I do not want to wake up early to run all around the resort and take an hour to get there.

We could do an uber, but I am not sure where they drop you off.

Anyone there now that could tell us the schedule?

My first transportation method of choice would be the monorail. Monorail hours have generally been pretty consistent lately, it's not like a few years ago when they had sporadic late starts, maintenance, etc.

Here's a link to a site that posts the current Times Guide: http://www.orlandoparksnews.com/p/weekly-walt-disney-world-times-guides.html

As you can see, the Resort Monorail has been starting at 7AM every day this past week, which has pretty much been the norm lately. That gives you plenty of time to get there for a PPO ADR. Make sure to pick up the current Times Guide for next week when you are there, it'll be in the lobby.

FYI, you probably know this, but they let you in the MK 7:45AMish. I'd personally target getting to the MK 7:30AMish, which means being at the Poly monorail station 7-7:20ish. Remember you now go through security at the Poly monorail station, so build in that time in your schedule (in my experience security at the Poly monorail station that early has been very quick).

Barring a monorail delay - which isn't all that common but can happen - you'll be good!

My second choice would be either Poly resort boat launch or walk over to the TTC and take the ferry. The ferry is definitely running that early, the Poly resort launch may not - boat hours are always a bit of a head scratcher to me, and I've stayed at Poly A LOT over the last few years! :-)

If all hell breaks loose and you need to Uber, have them take you to the CR and then take the walking path to MK. Get the driver to drop you off just past the CR security entrance to save a few steps.

Hope that helps.

This helps so much, thank you!

We were there two weeks ago with an 8:05 CRT reservation. I don't know for sure what time we left the Poly on the monorail, but I think it was probably 7:15-7:30, and we got to the Magic Kingdom by 7:40-7:45. We had to wait a few minutes before they started letting people with early breakfast reservations in, so we got there in plenty of time. The monorail was pretty deserted at that time of day (park opened at 9 that day too.)
