Anyone divided up their vacation?

We're having a very hard time deciding between AK and Boardwalk for our first DVC trip.

we're hoping to go at the end of next april (all depends on if we get pregnant within the next couple of months) and we've been looking at pic's others have posted from their trips.

we're thinking a 14 night trip and it just dawned on me that maybe we could do 7 at AK and 7 at Boardwalk.

has anyone ever divided their trip between 2 DVC resorts? did you find it confusing or difficult?

This summer we're spending 1 night in a 1 bdrm. at the BCV, followed by a 3-day Disney Cruise, then 5 nights at our home resort - SSR.

DVC members do it all the time. We were hoping to do it for our vacation in October, but the reality is it's tough to get BWV or BCV unless you are an owner.

last aug DS & I stayed 5nights VWL, 3nights AKL and 6nights BCV

this apr im 2 nights Pop, 5 nights BCV
aug DS & I 2nights riverside, 5 nights VWL
nov so far 2 nights BCV & 5nights VWL

For 14 nights....I would definately do a split stay....

It will feel like 2 different vacations...
1week in each place will give you plenty of time to settle in....

Different strokes for different folks. For 14 nights (we've done 13 once)...I would definitely stay at one place! Of course, that's assuming that you really like that one place. That two week trip we took was the most relaxing one of all, and I think much of it was because we settled in and didn't have to worry about packing anything until it was time to go.

I can certainly understand others opinions on this, but for us we prefer to unpack and pack just once on vacation.

I would do both resorts if it were me, a week at each. I don't like moving either, but if you really can't decide between the two, I'd definitely do both.

Last December we did 1 night at AKL concierge, 4 nights on Disney cruise and then 4 nights at Boardwalk. I'm doing the same thing this December only staying 5 nights at Boardwalk after the cruise. Next month we are going for 5 nights at VWL and next March, I hope to do 5 nights at AKV. Shorter trips we stay in just one location, in other words.
